Well, as I posted in another message, today is my 3rd year anniversary with FH (my longest relationship by far!)

Today is bittersweet, because it will be the last time we officially celebrate this date, since next year our anniversary date will change to our wedding date.

So today's question...

******Will you still celebrate your old anniversary? How do you feel about changing anniversary dates? Are you excited for a new anniversary? Our there any other dates you celebrate (i.e., engagement date? first ___?)********

I think we will still sort-of celebrate our August anniversary date just because its the summer and the weather is more vacation-appropriate thatn April. But I am looking forward to celebrating on April 24th too

Great question- i think about this all the time-lol...Our anniversary now is in August, but after the wedding, we'll just celebrate our wedding date as our anniversary...

our anni of one year is in a week and we celebrate the 12th each month, which we will totally continue celebrating. for us its the real anniversary.
plus it wont be that hard to keep these dates all celebrated as our 1st date is the 12th, e date 14th and wedding will be on the 16th.
we're crazy enough to celebrate each month each of those

I don't think we'll continue to celebrate our current anniversary. We barely celebrate it anymore anyway (it's been almost 10 years).

I'm excited to start celebrating something new though. Maybe it'll give us an added spark Besides, I don't know if I can trust FH to have to remember 2 dates

Our 2 year anniversary will be in March and then we get married in July. I think we will still celebrate in March somehow one more time, but it will feel different knowing that July 31 will be our real anniversary (in a good way of course). I don't think we will celebrate the March anniversary anymore once we are married, but I am really excited we will have a nice summer anniversary to celebrate. As far as engagements and first date, no we dont celebrate those.

I would like to do something for our original anniversary. We don't have to exchange gifts but it would be nice to remember the day we actually started our relationship.

I just had this convo with FH! I think there are certain days that will always be important. I still want to celebrate our dating anniversary and for sure, I want to atleast celebrate our 'engagement date' for a year.....Why not? 3 times a year isn't that often.....dating, engagement and wedding......

Just another reason to celebrate your love!

I love our dating anniversary and I wish that we could have gotten married on that day (it falls on a Sunday in 2010)...but FSIL is getting married 13 days after so that's out.

Maybe we'll just go out for a nice dinner or something...probably not though

As for others, I mention it to him when the anniversary of our first chat was but that's about it.

i think after the wedding we will only celebrate our wedding anniversary.....maybe the first few years we will acknowledge or dating anniversary since its only 20 days before our wedding anniv. but we wont actually do gifts/celebrate.

i really wanted to have our wedding anniversary be on our dating anniversary but it just didnt work out that way. At least its still in the same month.

I totally agree....no gifts necessary maybe just a nice dinner at home or a nice card....something cute to remember!

i think we will still celebrate our dating ann. and marriage ann. i think its still cute to always remeber those dates they r special to us.

I can't forget or stop celebrating our regular anniversary because it's Christmas! Actually, we don't always traditionally celebrate it anyway because it was clumped in with the holiday and Christmas is also FH's birthday.

hmm.,.. our anniversary right now is 1/29. It will be come 9/17. I might celebrate both for the first few years but then probably just the wedding anniversary

according to FH we will no longer be celebrating our dating anniversary. this totally bums me out because by the time we get married that will have been our date for 10 years.

so i think to make us both happy we agreed that on that date we will wish each other a happy dating anniversary & that's all.

We havent celebrated our dating anniversary since our 1st anniversary... we went to dinner and he bought me a tennis braclet... this year I didnt remember until 4pm and i text him - happy anniversary- he said oh snap sorry babe ! lol

I totally agree! We say our anniversary is from our first date, and we got engaged on Christmas, so we will always be celebrating that!
