Today we'll have a happier QOTD than yesterdays lol:If you and FH could/are splurging on one thing for your wedding, what is it?
For me, it's our photographer. We are both into art and were looking for someone who has a very modern approach on photography. We met with Matthew Sowa and fell in love with his images. He's a big expense, but so worth it for us.

We are definitely splurging on our photographer and videographer. Gina Esposito and AJ Ingoglia were MUST haves. It added up, but will totally be worth it.Lucky you for having Matthew Sowa! He was WAY too much of a splurge for us!!

We splurged by having a band instead of a DJ, specifically the band we're using as we've been going to their shows for a couple of years now and we love them!

Absolutely the photographer and photobooth. I allotted a budget of 3k for our photographer and 2k for the photobooth :)I'm very big on photos

We're deciding whether or not to have a photobooth. Like all of us, we're on a pretty tight budget. We currently don't live together, but we're trying to move in together soon. Plus, with all of the expenses with the wedding/honeymoon and trying to save to live together, I'm not sure if a photobooth is worth the extra $$. We did book a videographer, so I'm thinking between him and the photographer we'll get enough captured? Does anyone have suggestions/opinions about photobooths?

I agree with you LadyReeRee that it's our photographer. We're spending a big chunk of money on our photog Pete Gebhart at InfocusNYC but he's totally worth it and we're getting so much. I knew we would have these pictures forever so that was most important. Now though we're looking at videographers, a cost we originally hadn't planned for so that might be another splurge.

We're in the same boat! Trying to save for a place to live while planning a wedding is really difficult! But I think it's the photographer/videographer for us too. I knew what style I was looking for and North Island was exactly it. Unfortunately, it was A LOT over our budget, but I know that our pictures and video are going to be amazing, so I don't regret it.
I really love pictures so I wanted a photo booth as well, we met with the DJ last night and he seems to think we'll be able to include it in our package for a really reasonable amount if we have it for less time. We're not going to decide until it gets closer and see what our finances are.

Hmm. This is tough. If I had to choose I think our package with our photographer/videographer and DJ was where we chose things we may not have if we didn't love them SO much.

I think our biggest splurge will be the honeymoon. We havent really decided what we want to do but I know I wanna do something really nice and get the full pampering! I am looking forward more to my honeymoon than wedding day! lol

Our biggest splurge is definitely the reception hall. It was so important to us to have everyone in our families able to be there that we had to choose a summer and a saturday date. We have so many out of towners, this really helped make it easier for them but costs a pretty penny! After that, I think it will be the honeymoon!

We're thinking of splurging on a band! We're not sure yet but we def. think it would be fun to have. I just want people to dance and have a great time so I think it would be a good idea.

We weren't going to have a wedding at all so the entire wedding itself is a splurge! Lol! So far I have kept us on a super tight budget and have haggled with vendors to stay in our price range that we need to be in. We haven't splurged on any particular vendor yet but I would love to splurge a but on the honeymoon. We travel a lot as it is so FH doesn't want to go overboard with the honeymoon. He says he would rather go on two trips than one big one, I get his point but I reallyyyy wanna go to Hawaii!! lol

We're definitely splurging on the size of the wedding and our venue. We started off looking at venues that held 150 max, then we made a tentative guest list, and decided we wanted around 200. We're finalizing the guestlist now and we're inviting well over 350! Luckily The Inn at New Hyde Park holds 450 max.Our second biggest splurge is a tie between my dress and the honeymoon.
