*QOTD 1/13/14*

Ok so since it is Monday I would like to keep it simple lol.

When it comes to special occasions like anniversaries & birthdays, how does you FH measure up? Is he really thoughtful in his gift giving? Or could he use some work?

My FH is good at most things, gift giving is not one of them lol. He can definitely use some work. It doesn't help that I am an extremely thoughtful gift giver & will plan gifts months in advance.

My FH isn't bad MOST of the time. Every once in a while I need to nudge him and show him what I want but most of the times he is pretty good. Like for my bday he surprised me and got us tickets to Eastern State Penitentiary's Haunted House bc he knows how much I love scary things. For him to do this it was vcry thoughtful because he can not stand scary things ar all.

Re: *QOTD 1/13/14*

FH always goes above and beyond, and while this may sound nice I always feel bad. We set a limit on how much to spend and he always ends up doubling or one time tripling it and I stick to the budget. I always feel bad when he does this, I know it sounds stupid.....He always knows what to get me without me having to drop many hints...He is extremely difficult to buy for because he never wants anything.

Yuppp, this is how it is for us. He tries to be creative and thoughtful, but it doesn't always turn out well. I am also very picky about gifts and cannot act like I like something if it isn't what I expected/wanted. So it's partially my fault He is learning though! ((Sorry for sounding like a brat! lol))

LOL. Our anniversary is coming up next month & I have been wracking my brain on what to get him that he needs or would be thoughtful. I am always the one going above & beyond & he is the complete opposite so I wanted to see how other couples are too.

OMG DO NOT feel bad haha. I always get the sh*t end of the stick so I would love to feel bad haha. Usually my birthday he is good. Last birthday he bought me this whole outfit (I was looking at a magazine & said 'I like her outfit') so he bought it & that was nice. He also made me dinner. When it comes to anniversaries he's pretty bad.

See it's the thought that matters! My FH needs more thought lol. Maybe if I get him a crappy gift he will step up his game? LOL

Totally not a brat. In fact, it's better that he learns early what you want so in the future he doesn't waste money on gifts you wont like!!

haha lol I know I shouldn't feel bad..the things he asks for are never expensive and I never know what to get him. I don't want to feel like we're competing on whose going to get each other the better gift.....That is so sweet that he did that with the outfit and that he was able to. I banned FH from buying me clothes, it never ends well lol

My FH was always a great gift giver. When we first started dating he would keep mental notes of things I would say I wanted and he would end up surprising me with them. Now that we have been together for over 5 years he has gotten a little lazy and just flat out asks what I want lol and he will just order it online or we will go together and I will pick something out and he will pay for it. He is always very generous so that's always nice haha.

Re: *QOTD 1/13/14*

My FH has a bad memory, see my nday is 3 days sfter Christmas so if I drop a hint today, in a month, over the summer or even in October hr doesn't remember and come dec he asks for my xmas. list!
BUT he does spoil me. which makes me feel like a $h¡t! idk if u read my post once skit rationalizing spending double our xmas limit to get him ps4! he spent $320 on a Pandora bangle plus other gifts.... He eeasily tripled the budget!!!
and when I drop hints close enough for him to remember hrs very good. when he told me he couldn't find the infinity curling iron I wanted for my grandpa to give me he saw how upset I was and ran out to find out for my birthday. I am so obessed with this curling iron lol I was so happy he found it and got it for me!!

MY FH has gotten really great at gift giving over the years. In the beginning of the relationship I always went overboard and now lately he is the one going way over board and I end up feeling really bad. We set a limit for gifts for eachother for Christmas and I know he totally exceeded it and I felt so bad because he got me so much but he says its to makeup for years where he felt bad. I love getting cards from him because he usually writes something really sweet. I was excited to buy him a Fiance Christmas card this year.
