**~~QOTD 1/14/14~~**

I’m sure the question has been posed in the past, but I’m relatively new to the site in regards to a lot of you ladies on here, so I apologize if this is a repeat. But I’m enjoying getting to know more about you ladies and your special day – so I would like to know:

What is your theme, what are your wedding colors and why did you chose them?

Our theme is Caribbean Carnival Time/La Vida Es Un Carnival (Life is a carnival). Both FW and I come from Caribbean backgrounds (she St. Lucia and I Cuba/PR) and we both love a good fette! We can’t wait to party!!! Our colors are blue and gold which are our favorite colors. I love how they look together and they are great summer and carnival colors. I can’t wait to see it all come together.

Fun question! Our theme is a halloween theme because FH and I are big horror fans, and love everything about halloween.

Our wedding is not a costume party, but we will has halloween decor, and a candy bar for some adult trick or treating. We will also be providing masquerade masks for our quests to wear for that costume feel. Our colors are orange, plum and black! Can't wait!!

We don't have a theme, more of an inspiration- peacocks. Westbury Manor has peacocks on the grounds so we are playing with those colors- blue, green, purple, gold. there will be some accents of feathers but i don't want it to look like a peacock exploded inside the reception. The whole feel should be rich & romantic

Like some of the other girls mentioned... I'm going for more of a feel than a theme. I'm going with a very classic romance feel with silvers, ivorys, blacks and gold touches.

I'm using that simple/classic feel to sort of counteract that silly/fun ideas we also have planned...

My colors are navy and blush pink. I have touches of bling around so it should have that glam feel. I'm so excited to see it all together

Our colors are pale pink, light grey, and white. I would say that the overall theme is soft romance.

We're going for a vintage/rustic feel (theme?) and I think The Cottage lends its self to that. I'm doing a fall/warm color palette of plumb, orange, yellow, green, brown. It's starting to come together in my head, but we'll see what happens when it gets closer!

Our 'theme' (inspiration) is Old Hollywood. This stemmed from my makeup artist telling me that my dress reminded her of Old Hollywood. It was like a lightbulb went off, lol. Everything is gold, ivory, champagne, and everything is being accented with vintage crystal brooches and some pearls. My hair is an Audrey-Hepburn inspired look; trying not to be too 'themy,' but I am definitely paying homage to that era. The guys will be in black fitted tuxes and black bowties, white shirts, no vests. Just that classic, rich, formal look.

We want a beach theme since our orignal intention was a beach ceremony ( which we have not toally discounted, nothing a little phone chain cant fix) So our colors are blue, white and silver and we have hints of a beach theme thrown through out.. Sea shell choclates on the cupcakes, things simple like that.

We have blue and gold too! Since it's late October, we are doing navy blue and gold. I'm going to to try to incorporate maybe some orange and white in the BM's bouquets, to keep with the fall theme.

its kinda like a vintage-y theme with bling here and there... i wasn't initially going the vintage route but the venue we chose is very rustic and vintage looking, and i got a lace gown so i'm kinda going with it now... our colors are plum lavender and gray

Re: **~~QOTD 1/14/14~~**

we are doing a nautical/cape cod theme. i had never been to CC before dating FH. we both went to school in boston and share a huge love for the city ... but cape cod was where we would visit frequently in the summer (and really throughout the year) and we just fell in love there. FH has been summering there for many years; his parents have a house there.

we're doing navy blue, gold, and coral.

We are doing a movie theme wedding, fh and I are huge movies buff we both are communication majors and he is apart of a film production crew. Movies was our first date and I feel like the initial part of our bond so it was only fitting we did it as our theme. Instead of vases we have popcorn buckets with Hydrageas (they look like popped popcorn), A popcorn machine, movie candies as our favors, instead of table numbers we have movies. We do have a color scheme pale yellow like buttercup and sapphire blue (My favorite color and fh favorite color).

Wow I'm genuinely loving the answers guys!! It's interesting to see how many of your themes/feels were inspired by your venue and dress. FW and I went into the planning process knowing our theme and colors way ahead of time. I think I picked my dress with the theme in mind. Never even dawned on me to work the other way around. Keep 'em coming!

We are using Royal Blue. But when FW saw the navy blue in The Paper Source she loved the look - I did too. That's going to look great for the fall.
