Question:
How is your relationship with you FILs? How is FH relationship with his FILs?

I am very happy to say that I get along great with FH family. Esp his mom. They all welcomed me into the family with open arms as soon as we started dating and couldnt be happier that we are getting married. FH relationship with my family has been great also. My dad finally has a guy around to talk technology and sports with lol. My dad has 2 girls plus 3 step daughters and 1 of those step daughters has 2 girls of her ownn so hes always surrounded by females. So I know he is happy to welcome a guy into the family lol.

We get along great with each other's families, thank goodness. My grandma was a Monster in Law to my mom so I've always been worried haha. But, his mom is a complete sweetheart, his sister is fantastic, and his dad is just like him but a little bit crankier - so yeah, just like him without coffee

My parents love my FH and he gets along really with my sisters, my nieces and nephew, my brother in law, and most importantly to me, my brother! So I can be sure that my brother won't try to chase him off or hunt him down

What a great question!! A relationship with in-laws as always been a fear of mine since my mom and grandmother (her MIL) DO NOT get along. It's like WWIII sometimes.

I get along really well with my FH's family. It's really great because I'm an only child and don't have cousins my own age that I'm close to. They all took me in like a sister since day one. I never met his father because he's been deceased for many years. His brother and his family live in North Carolina and I have never met them.

As far as his relationship with my parents, it's not as great. Not bad, but my FH is VERY shy. He still is kind of uncomfortable with my parents. He's polite, but not as close as I am with his family.

It's nice to hear so many of us have great relationships with our FIL's. For the ladies that don't, I give you so much credit because I know what it's like. I watched my mom suffer for the past 37 years and I know it's very painful.

I'm very lucky. His mom and stepdad are great, and had no problem telling him it took him long enough to find a 'winner' lol. I get along well with his sister and one brother, but haven't met his youngest brother (FH doesn't speak to him).

My family loves him, even though it's hard for them to get to know him because he's relatively shy around them.
