Today's question is about your wedding day logistics and timeline. I think this is one thing that causes me the greatest concerns.
Who is going to make sure the RH sets up everything exactly right? I am bringing in quite a bit of DIY for the tabletops and I want everything to look exactly just so. Also, making sure our favors are set up and distributed correctly Making sure the OOT bags get delivered.
All these things led to my decision for a DOC. I'm a control freak! What about you? Are you having a DOC? Have family members or friends agreed to take on supervision? Are you just more relaxed about the whole thing and able to enjoy it as it comes?

I'm having a DOC (Cheeky Glam -- Love them!!!) I'm also doing a lot of DIY and 'little touches' and I'm very nervous that something won't e set up properly or something will be forgotten. Hiring Cheeky was one of the best decisions of my wedding planning because now I don't have nightmares anymore that the hall forgot to put out my favors and I have 100 caramel apples sitting in my car! lol

My DOC (A Modern Day Affair) will be doing all of that so I don't have to worry! lol

I do not have a DOC and I don't think I will need one.
I have the florist doing the centerpieces and it is the maitre d's job to do some of the smaller details. I am giving the hall my table numbers, favors, channa plaque and escort frames.
If I make fabric pompadour, I am giving them to my florist so she can decorate the church with them.
As long as no major assemble is required, your maitre d should be able to help with the small detail. I want my family and wedding party to enjoy the day and not to worry about decorations.

I do have a DOC (Simply Couture). I'm a nervous nelly so I feel better having one. I probably don't need one because Floral Terrace gives 3 maitre D's and 2 bridal attendants. Nonetheless, I feel less stressed knowing I have a DOC to make sure things go as planned in the morning and during my church ceremony.

I have Cheeky Glam as my DOC to help me also. I have some OOT bags and DIY things to do.

I have a ton of DIY projects and personal touches that need to be set up, so we hired AMDA to be in charge of that! I'm going to take pictures of the exact set-up I want and put them in individual totes to make it easier. But I wanted someone who I know would set it up how it's supposed to be without myself or mother or MOH having to do it!

So many of you have a DOC, it freaks me out. I'm very much on the fence abount this. I've spoken with my mom about it and she assures me I won't need one. But she has crazy moments so I still want one to keep us all from having to deal with craziness.
I think I am going to get rubbermaid bins for anything that needs to be set up and load them each with precise instructions. I'm also going to do a mock up at my house and take pictures to include in the bins with the instructions. Fingers crossed this plans works well. I don't mind dropping off OOT bags to my hotel, plus I'm staying there the night before most everyone else will check in so if worse comes to worse I can drop them off last minute when I check in the day before.

we are having a doc now! once upon an event
i wasnt sure we needed one but the more i read, the more im happy we have one- for before we get to the hall (reveal pix, etc) and with 2 brides i think the more help, the better! lol

We have a DOC (and her assistant) as well. She will be my eyes and ears for the day knowing exactly how I want everything. Where my DIY should be, who needs to be where when etc. I am so happy to have her so that I don't have to worry about doing these things or assigning my mom or MOH to do things and we can just enjoy ourselves!

I'm a cheeky glam bride! Like many of you, I have a ton of DIY details... Including my centerpieces. They've been so helpful and responsive so far!

I'm with you.. I'm a control freak also. I hired a friend to over see the whole day. She will have detailed notes on how everything should look. I trust her.. after my wedding we are going to school to become wedding planners and event coordinators( cause I loved it so much).. I'm sure we will go into business together.
