Bbrrrrr... It's freeeeezing out there! I hope you're staying dry and warm!

Easy question today, what so far has been the best and worst marriage/wedding advice you've received from someone? People are always ready to go with some unsolicited advice.

The best advice someone gave me was, don't go into a marriage with the attitude that if it gets hard you can just quit. For some reason that really stuck with me. So far I haven't received any bad advice, except other peoples opinions on colors/styles for the wedding. I'm sure that will change as my shower and other functions get closer.

Haha could be a good thing or could be a bad thing.

I haven't received any bad advice but plenty of good ones. My favorite is that there is 3 in a marriage: you, your spouse and God. We are both Catholic so I think that sticks to us, advice along those lines.

Best advice was it's your day do what you want to do. I havent recieved bad but I have gotten plenty of you have to invite..... the one I really don't want to listen to is inviting my bosses and coworkers.

I've gotten some good advice from friends that are recently married, the best which has been 'Do what makes you and your FH happy, because in the end you're not going to please everyone - so please the 2 that are most important'.

As for bad advice...haha I've gotten plenty! But the worst has been not to get married because marriage just doesn't work out lol.

Re: ~* QOTD 1/3/14 *~

my aunt told me to make sure to marry someone who loves me more than I love him lol. that way he is always willing to work for the relationship. I think that's good advice?

fh's half sister when we got engaged was like why get married? most marriages end in divorce.... she was in the middle of a divorce though lol.

also one of our close friends always tells me he doesn't want to see us end up divorced since we don't have a total plan for after married life..... to me you go thru life together. you don't need a hardcore set up plan before you get married lol. life changes everyday. like we aren't sure where we will live for sure etc.
