Good morning

Yesterday, FH and I were reminiscing about when we first met and when we first started dating...

What did you and FH do for your first date?

FH lives in Queens and I live in Brooklyn. For our first date, he planned on taking me out to a restaurant in Queens. On our way there, we passed by New Park Pizza (popular pizzeria on Cross Bay Blvd. that is pretty much a hole in the wall, but amazing! Those hole in the wall places are always the best ) I had always heard so much about it so I said 'ooooo can we pleeeeeease go there instead? I want to try their pizza!!' I'm a cheap date lol it's the little things.

We spoke for hours & hours and then went back to his place to watch movies. It was perfect.

Now that I introduced him to L&B Spumoni Gardens in Brooklyn, he likes the pizza there better and that's pretty much our favorite restaurant now.

Can't wait to hear your first date stories!

FH and I met online. Our first date we had planned on going out to dinner and then going to play monster mini golf.

He picked me up at my moms (with flowers and everything... the whole nine) and then took me out for sushi. We ended up talking so much at dinner that when we got back in the car we realized by the time we actually got to monster mini golf it would've been closed. So he asked me if I ever saw the raptors out east. I had no clue what he was talking about... so we started driving out towards montauk.

(The raptors btw... is a stone figurine outside of a stone shop out on the way towards montauk)

We just kept driving... so we had a first date of about 8 hours long and we just talked the whole time. We made it out to montauk and then turned around to come back home. We sat parked in front of my moms house for about another 45minutes to an hour or so. He booked a second date right then and there. I knew he was the one that night.

He took me back out to montauk to propose <3

FH and I met online too and we decided to meet and have our first date at Starbucks. We started talking and didn't stop until 3 1/2 hours later when I had to leave for work! We both just knew right then and there, 6 months later we were living together. I love thinking about that day

FH and I have been best friends for 15 years so we have done a lot of things but our first date was awesome. We went to the car show, and after we left we stopped and had a caricature draw and picture of us, then hi-tailed it to the Toysrus in Times Square with little time to spare for a gift I needed to purchase for the next day. Lol all I kept saying as long as we get in the door they can't kick us out. Lol.

He picked me up at my house and we drove around the city. Mainly we people watched and talked. We met online so this was risky on my part. The date lasted for HOURS and we saw eachother every day after that :)

We met online and had been talking for almost two months before we met. Our first date was at Charlie Brown's Steakhouse & then we went to the movies after. It was so comfortable and natural because we had already established such a great connection in the weeks prior to meeting. I knew fairly early that he was going to be my happily ever after <3

I live in BK too! I heard L&B is amazing - now I really can't wait for FH to bring me there.

FH and I went to a sushi restaurant for our first date and the food ******! I got a tuna roll and they filled it with a bunch of cucumber and carrots and crap. After our first date, I told him about my favorite sushi spot. For our 3rd or 4th date, we went there and we've NEVER gone back to his spot ever again lol

My fh and I worked together that is how we met. We are both teachers. We bean to talk occasionally at school ten more leading up to our work Xmas party. We work w a very young staff and we had an open bar Xmas party. He had asked me numerous times if I was going and I did. After that the rest is history.

Our was to an Islanders game. I am a huge Islanders fan && would never date a guy that wasn't. In fact the first question I asked him was Are you an Islanders fan? So a week after we met we went to a game. Got some wings & beers before. Totally my kind of date!

Our first BLIND date was at my high school's play my senior year. We went to a diner after with some friends.

But our first REAL date, he took me to the Cheesecake Factory. Then we were going to go bowling but it was League Night that night, so we went to Starbucks instead. :)

Our first official date was to the SUNY Cortland campus restaurant style dining hall haha. We didnt have cars or money as college freshman, and it was romantic enough just to be away from our roommates!

We met online and got to talking and decided to go on a date (even though he was SO not my type lol!!). We planned the date for a Thursday night to do dinner and we exchanged numbers but we were texting each other through the weekend before our scheduled first date.. On Sunday we were both not doing anything so one of us was like 'hey why don't we meet up now?'
We went bowling in rvc (and my first thought was oh he's definitely cuter in person! ) and then we took a walk to get Ralph's ices, talking the whole time.. By the time we walked back we still felt like it was too soon to say goodbye so we sat in his car and talked and got to know each other a little. Then before we said goodbye he said 'are we still on for Thursday?' And that was how I knew I was seeing him again.

I knew I liked him on the second date when he held my hand walking from the car to the restaurant, and I especially knew I liked him when he was patient and kept taking me on REAL dates (I told myself I wouldn't let him in my apartment until I knew he was going to stick around) instead of just hanging out inside.

well FH and I met freshmen year of high school in earth science! after freshmen year was finished we knew we had to go on a date! we tried all summer but my dad wasn't caving to me dating at 14! so we got back to school in september and finally went on a date 2 weeks into school.

his parents dropped him off at my house. my mom dropped us off in port jeff and we went for italian ices and walked around for the day! lol (such old people at 15! lol) but it was an amazing date! and 9 years later we got engaged in the same place!! :)

Since FH and I were friends first, we never actually had an 'official' first date. BUT when we first started working together, a group of people from our job were going to a strip club, and we went with them, and afterward he drove me home and we spent about 4 hours in front of my house in his car talking.

So we always joke that our first date was at a strip club. We're so classy. Lol

I bought a date with FH in a date auction at college. He didn't make the move, so I had to be the one to do it. I paid $10 for the kid! He claimed he was an amazing cook so our first 'date' was him coming over to my apartment on campus to make me dinner. Well my roommates were hanging out in the apartment, so he ended up cooking for 4 of us!

Nothing like a date with 3 other people for a first date, eh?

We've known eachother for a while and had hung out a bunch of times before we went on our first 'date.' We went out to eat and to see Atonement, which was one of the most awful movies EVER. It's been an on-going thing ever since that I pick horrible movies...all because of that one mistake lol. He thought he was SO funny when he bought me the movie for Christmas
