QOTD 10/06

I have been dreaming about my wedding day since I was a little girl...as I am sure many of you have...our FH kinda just fell into place and then we went full speed with wedding planning...

Have any of you toyed with the idea of eloping instead of having a typical LI Wedding? Why or Why not?

Me personally, I have always wanted a big wedding...when I started planning and realized the stress and time it is taking...I HAVE TOYED with the idea of saying SCREW IT...let go to city hall and get married LOL...BUT its a little late in the game so I WILL have my dream wedding 09/07/2013.

Sometimes when I feel like I'm hemorrhaging money, or stressing over whether or not this person should get an invite, I definitely think about eloping lol.

But even though in a lot of ways a big wedding is impractical, I would regret it if I didn't have one. I really want my family and friends to share this with me. Plus my mom would kill me lol.

I never really thought about my wedding as a kid and have never wanted a big wedding. Honestly, our current guest list of 185 is way too big for me! I definitely thought of eloping early on in planning, just because it may have been easier. But I love every vendor we've booked and every little detail we've planned, so now I wouldn't want it any other way.

When I look at my wedding budget calculator or feel the stress of getting things done, the idea of eloping crosses my mind for a second. Then I think that this is something I have always wanted - to share the most important day of my life with my family and friends. I know I would regret not having a big celebration.

I always wanted to go Vegas and get married by Elvis. I never dreamed of having a wedding. It wan't until I had my son that I flet we needed to do it thi way. Though there are many times I wish Vegas was still an option :)

Quite a few times I felt like just forgetting about everything and doing something very small. It would be so nice to be rich and not have to stress about money. I am in too deep now to back out lol but I think we are doing pretty good with spending.

I didn't really think about my wedding as a kid. It wasn't till after my sweet 16 (with my huge family) that I really think I even thought about it. I knew I was always going to have a big wedding, however I never thought our guest list would be at 260 people. When I look at how much money were spending I wish we just eloped but I couldn't imagine not having our family and friends around.

I wasn't the typical lil girl who dreamed of her wedding day. As a teenager I wasn't even sure I wanted to get married. In my early 20's that was the last thing on my mind lol. It wasn't until my mid 20's that I felt I would want to get married one day and I would say things like IF I do I'd like this or that. But NEVER thought it would actually happen after all the losers I dated lol

I sometimes feel like whyyy am I spending so much $$ on 1 day, I should buy a house instead but its going to be one of the most special days of my life and I want my family & friends their and the beautiful dress and big party to celebrate!

FW's mom would kill us but it would be so much easier to elope so i've thought about it a couple times!

Definitely not. As stressful as this craziness is, I have always wanted the big, catering hall wedding!

ME TOO! I would loose so much money in deposits and STD and postage that I would cry...I am in wayyyyyy too deep...gotta go forward no matter how stressed I get at times.

I got one of those HUGE Italian families...and my FH has a huge German/Irish family...

WHAT A MESS!! LOL
