*~*~* QOTD 10/1/10 *~*~*

Happy Friday Girls!!!!! I cant believe its still raining- how terrible this is...

Anyway, heres my QOTD:

If you could go back and freeze any moment in time through out your life, when would it be and why?
Girls, we dont all have to say the moment we met FH haha- that goes without saying....

My moms sister passed away when I was in elementary school, at 26 years old, she had CML Leukemia, my family really took it hard, my mom and her siblings and my grandmother have never been the same-- sometimes I guess things like that make you closer- and sometimes they just completely seperate everyone....I'd go back to before she got sick--- it would be nice to see my gma without a broken heart...

On a happier note---with October here we are now 1 month closer to 2011---how exciting!

My grandmother had a serious breakdown about 12 years ago when she was 66... I wish I could go back to before that, I miss the happy, hopeful woman she was. She has since been diagnosed with manic depression (MANY in my family have it) and when she is good she is good, however when she isn't, she withdraws from friends, even now (and she's borderline right now) she can read a whole book in one day - instead of going out and socializing. Thank God she still volunteers weekly at the NYC Soup Kitchen her & my grandfather work at and that she still helps out at the church pantry. The wedding has been a big source of happiness for her and I'm very glad that I can help. I've seen her laugh and talk a lot more lately! The second day that we went dress shopping she was MUCH more out-going and I was very happy to see that. She and I used to go to at least one Broadway play a year just the two of us, she stopped about 2 years ago, I miss that too. I think I will maybe suggest that as a Christmas gift/outing for us!

I would probably say my senior year of high school. Life was really good, and i was super happy. At that point in your life, you don't realize how hurtful mankind could be, and you don't have real responsibilities.

I would say freshman year of college. I had a chance to transfer to another school and start a new, but decided to stay in the school I was in due to finances and loss of credits. I started slacking off and didn't do as great as I should have. Kicking myself in the assets now about it :(

I wish I could go back to anytime when my grandpa was still alive - he passed away 5 years ago.

Back to elementary school when my dad owned his deli........... Life seemed like so much fun then.... He seemed a lot happier about things and not so stressed out as he is now... My mom also seemed a lot happier b/c things financially speaking were a lot better. Life in general was just a lot of fun in those days and being able to see them happier would be nice.

Probably the time I met FH. That time in my life wasn't really happy. I was sort of depressed and just not in a good state but it all changed when I met FH and now it just keeps getting better. Even through all my anxiety and panic attacvks I can deal with those over that other time in my life

i was engaged once before. 11 days before the wedding, he broke everything off.
in hindsight, i can see and thank god that it worked out for he best b/c i found FH right afterwards, but i think i could go back and not waste so much time the way i did with my ex and have been hurt, emotionally, mentally....
the things that were done to me and my family - i wouldn't wishit on my worst enemy.
I would also tell him and his family, especially his mom - to eff off!

I think when I was deciding my major in college. I would have totally went down a different route professionally. Not sure if I would have liked it, but you never know!

I would go back to any Christmas when my parents were still married. They only divorced a few years ago and it rocked my entire family. Holidays have never been the same.
