Okay ladies, I'm super excited to have been chosen as the 2nd BOTW and I hope my questions are fun! So let's give it a whirl. Most of us seem to have our reception halls booked by now or at least have been looking and know where we want to book. That being said:

How many venues did you have to look at before you found The One?

We officially checked out 9 places altogether, but Lombardi's on the Sound was the 7th place we looked at and I fell in love immediately! We had two more appointments with other venues and we kept them, but we knew there was no way we were going to book anywhere else. FH had actually seen it earlier in the week and liked it a lot... a LOT, so he brought me back and that confirmed it for me.

We only visited two venues - both on the same day. I had gone to a few with a friend of mine because her FH lives in New Jersey and she didn't want to go alone, so luckily I knew which places I didn't want. We went to Flowerfields and Floral Terrace and as much as we loved them both, we knew Floral Terrace was the one the second we walked into the ballroom!!

Two! I was SOLD on our first venue from the online pictures, got there and was less than thrilled. Went to the 2nd venue and Fell in love the second we pulled in. We left and FH said 'what are you thinking' I said 'nothing, i don't want to get excited' he said 'well, get excited!' We called when we got home to save the date we wanted!!

We visited 4 in the same day.... Longest day ever!!! After seeing our venue first I was in a fog the Reston the day. That's how I knew I had to get married at the first place! That was the one!!

We saw the Bourne right before Christmas and we both fell in love. I still wanted to shop around and see what else was out there, but every time i pictured our wedding, it was at the mansion. In the end we saw a total of 3. I just knew what I wanted!

It was our 2nd venue! We saw a total of 3... but we knew The Mansion was it after we saw it! It was beautiful and we had a 'moment' there. I would have cancelled the third venue but it wasn't enough notice!

We went to 9 places and fell in love with East Wind immediately. We had an appointment with the 10th venue (Westbury Manor) but cancelled.

We met with people at 8 places, snuck into our 9th haha. Willow Creek was the 6th place and we liked it but wasn't ready to commit. But as soon as a we walked into the other 2 places we knew we wanted to go back to Willow Creek.

We fell in love with the first venue we booked, until we saw the price. I haggled back and forth for a few weeks before I gave up and was like we are never affording this so back to the drawing board. We probably saw every venue to be honest way to many. We liked a lot of them none of them ever had the same wow factor as the first but we finally narrowed it down to 3 and then based it off food. Jericho won so thats how we chose. After 4 months of searching and 20 something venues later lol.

We saw 7 places (in 2 days haha) and The Fox Hollow was the last appointment they had. They were setting up for a wedding, so I got to see the room all done up and we both fell in love. It was the first place the two of us actually loved lol

only 2 places!...I chose Stuart bc the lady judy was sooo helpful and willing to work with our tight budget! really liked the whole idea of an inclusive package...and now we getting all these little things thrown in extra like a chocolate fountain!

Technically four places. Because of schedule conflicts, I went with my mom and sister to two places during my first year of engagement. It was only half serious searching. When we hit the two year mark, FH and I got serious and looked at two places with appointments and contract discussions. Willow Creek was the first place we looked together and it is absolutely beautiful, but I think it gave us that magic feeling because we were both in agreement that this was our place!

We looked at two and chose the second one.. We had a 'moment' there.. We didn't like a lot of places based on online searching so we knew it had to be one of the two and we really fell in love with SLCC!!

We looked at the Bourne Mansion, Fox Hollow, Venetian Yacht Club, & the Inn at New Hyde Park. We went to the Inn on a whim, and had no intention of falling in love. We knew the second we walked in we were going to book there, and we did! I literally want to move into our venue! So obsessed.

We saw 3 places and our venue was the 3rd one. We stopped as soon as we saw it. I actually cried when we left I was so excited and actually saw my whole day happening!

We visited 1 before the ONE. We went to Thatched Cottage and it was nice and pretty and Maureen was amazing but I didn't get this specific type of feeling I was hoping to get. We then went over to Westbury Manor and right as we pulled up I got the feeling and knew that was where we were gonna get married!! We absolutely LOVE our venue! Couldn't be happier.
