QOTD 11/6

Sorry for the late post today but just got back from the 2012 shower. Had a great time and wish I didn't miss the first half but had a great time. Thanks again to Mara for organizing and to my secret bride Marissa for my gift (sorry I didn't get to meet you).

Speaking of showers, what's your favorite part as an attendee?

After getting to spend time with those closest to me, I love to eat (steak sandwich today was amazing)and love that there are always a ton of sweets around.

The one thing I could do without is the 3 hours of opening gifts. I've already let my MOH know that I don't want to do that.

My favorite part is seeing the bride smile and get emotional when they receive something really special. I love watching people's reactions when they open presents.

Haha!! I love watching people open gifts! I can see how people think it's boring, but I love watching what people get.

But more than the gifts, I also love the food!

Of course I love the food and sweets! I also enjoy watching the bride open presents, I think its hilarious when the bride opens dirty lingerie! hahaha

I love to eat so of course the food. I like watching gifts when they've been put together creatively like a clothes line of laundry supplies coming out of a hamper, or the candle poem from the bridal party.

I've only been to one shower where the gift opening was really awkward (becuase bride is super shy and self concious but her mother made her open sexy nighties and stand up holding them infront of her she was bright red and near tears) so I guess you could say I dislike when the people planning the shower don't take the brides personality into account.

The steak sandwhich was so good mmmmmm! I never been to a bridal shower so yesterday was my first. Though I always love gift giving and waiting to see that person's reaction.
