Do you get along with FH's family?
I can't stress enough how much I LOVE FH's family. Not only do I get along well with his parents and sisters, I also get along with his entire (and huge) extended family - aunts, uncles, cousins - AND even his BIL's family! I'm INCREDIBLY lucky to have this, I know. I really look up to both of his sisters and I'm always involving his mom as well as my own in the wedding planning because her opinion matters that much to me.

Luckily yes! When I asked his sisters to be bridesmaids I told them I really feel like I'm gaining 2 siblings. I love his parents too. I really feel like I'm gaining a whole other family. I realize we are so lucky because it's not often you get along this well with your in laws.

I'm obsesseddd with FH's family. We knew each other growing up, FH was good friends with my brother so our families already knew each other. His mom was SO excited when we started dating, it was amazing. Both of our families are European so we share the same values and have similar dynamics. It's really just an amazing feeling to be so welcomed and loved by another family. I've seen fights between my friends and their in-laws and it's such a blessing that I don't have to deal with any tension or craziness!

Yes we do. I LOVE his sister. We have a very nice relationship & I cant wait to officially have her as a sister. I get along great with his immediate & extended family & even his BIL's family! In fact I asked his cousin to be a bridesmaid because I wanted to, not because of him. I think with every family, there are things that go on that you don't understand or agree with and that is because you have grown up differently. If you can put those things aside it makes a big difference. I love having a big family & I hope it goes smoothly through the wedding planning & nothing changes.

YES! I love his family so much. I actually asked my future sister in law to be in my bridal party because I am quite close with her. Our parents also get along really well which makes me happy. He does have a very small family which makes it easy, but I sincerely love them all.

I love FH's family. I was VERY close to his mother, but she passed away last May from cancer which was a horrible experience. But in a way, it made us and his siblings closer.

YES!!!!
I've known FH's family since we were in 4th grade. So almost 20 years now. We are so close and I wouldn't want it another way. We share holidays with both our parents and grandparents/aunts/uncles/cousins and it almost feels like we are one big family already! I'm so glad that I have such a wonderful bond with them.
YES! I love his family. Well... his parents, Grandma and his sister. His brother is fairly obnoxious... but I chalk that up to him being the middle child (poor Jan).
My only issue really is... they don't understand weddings and parties. They don't realize just how much actually goes into it and stuff.

I love FH's family. They have always liked me and allowed me to feel comfortable being myself. My FMIL has offered to let us move into her house with her for financial and logistical reasons, but we are trying to avoid that based on advice from friends with live with their in-laws. I love her, and I'd like to keep it that way!

Yes they love me, they are really great. His mom is so nice it's nice to know I will soon have a second mother. His sister and bil are great and I can't wait to spend more time with them. His dad I just met that side of the family recently they all seem nice and apparently according to his sister I got rave reviews which is awesome.

Yes! Luckily, he comes from a great family and his immediate and extended family are super nice. They are so sweet and were very welcoming of me from the beginning. I am blessed

Can I plea the 5th on todays QOTD? LOL Im MOSTLY kidding! We both have VERY small immediate families. He really only has his mother and I have my mother and my sister. Although we get along, sometimes his mother and I do butt heads...Am I awful for even admitting this!?

Ugh I'm so jealous of all of you! I guess I don't have much to complain about, FMIL makes strange comments now and then that I probably shouldn't let get to me so I've been actively trying to let things roll off my back more (in all aspects of my life!). I get along with my two FBILs but sometimes I feel like my FSIL doesn't like me. I have made a huge effort to have a relationship with her but she just doesn't budge. FH says she's just quiet but c'mon give me a break. We've been together 3 years next month so what's the problem? Shes great after she's had a few drinks though! Haha.
They're great people though, I'm probably reading too much into things! They've been good to me, I think they were just a bit rattled after we moved in together after 6 months.

Yes! I'm luckily very close with his whole family, especially his immediate, and he's the same with mine. I've been good friends with his cousin since high school, which is how we met

FH isn't very close to his family. They are all very nice, but they aren't that involved so its more like they're just.. there. Haha. I'm very close to my family so it all balances out!
