Are you planning the wedding of your childhood dreams?


In short I would say yes. I am having the church wedding with the big party to follow. I bought the dress of my dreams, etc. However, at some point I had to give up the dream of having that wedding in Disney World lol. FH actually seriously looked into it but we decided it was more important to us to have our extended family present than to have a destination wedding.

yes and it's almost perfect. I got the dress I always wanted by the designer I always loved. shoes I always wanted and in my favorite color. hopefully cake will be what I envisioned. our venue is exactly what I wanted, just everything I wanted I somehow managed to get.

most of all I'm marrying a great guy which after my past of ex's I'm very happy to be marrying lol. I always hoped I'd finally end up with a great guy who would be like no one I ever dated before.

of course there things missing like my brother who died 9 years ago, and my old BFF who was like a 2nd brother to me and died almost 5 years ago.

I never really dreamed of a wedding growing up. I mean that sincerely. I always assumed I would have a church ceremony then to to a reception hall. But I never really pictured my own day until my FH and I got serious. Even then, it isn't until now that we are planning it that I can visual a 'dream day'. At first I wanted to elope but FH convinced me we would regret not having a traditional wedding. He's right.

I am having a scaled down version of the wedding of my dreams as I can't afford my own taste!! But I am marrying the man do my dreams so it all evens out!

I was a tomboy when I was young so I never really dreamed of my wedding day. I always knew I wanted the ceremony in a church though. So far I am planning everything that I want, so in that respect it is the wedding of my dreams :)

So far I think I'm doing definitely planning my dream wedding. Getting my first choice venue was my biggest dream come true so most everything else is extra!
