Thanks so much, Laura, for making me BOTW!! I am going to keep these G-rated, since I'd like everyone to be able to answer. So....I've been listening to this song about regrets, so I thought I'd ask a question about that. However, I didn't want to be a total downer, so this is a two part question:
***What is something that you're really proud of that you've done in your life? What is something that you regret?***
One thing I am really proud of is how I've been able to learn to speak Spanish. Growing up in a non-bilingual family, I always envied people who were able to communicate in other languages, so I was really excited when I got proficient and then fluent in Spanish.
The thing I regret is so ridiculous, and 13 years later I should realize that this really didn't make any difference in the scheme of things. Anyway, when I was 11 years old, starting seventh grade, we were starting to switch classes for the first time (instead of staying in one room with one teacher all day). A few weeks into school, I asked my best friend if she wanted to exchange schedules so we could find each other during the day. She gave me this really strange look like I was stalking her and rolled her eyes. Within a month our friendship was over. Granted, I don't think our friendship was going to last anyway, but for years I was convinced that was the reason, and looking back I still get red thinking about that situation.
(This is NOT my biggest regret...but with bigger ones, it's hard to say, because they led to so many other things that I can't necessarily say that I wish they didn't happen, because I don't know where I'd be now if they didn't....you know? So if you think of something that could be a big regret, but you don't regret it b/c it ended up leading to lots of good...pick something smaller.

Your welcome!
Something that I am proud of that I have done would be stop smoking ciggs. It was a silly habit that I picked up in high school. All my friends smoked & it became too much, I decided I was going to quit-just happened to be before finals in college~but I did it. Ive been smoke free for 5 years! Something that I regret would be stop playing the piano. I took lessons for years & didn't really like it but didn't stop because I would regret it. Now I do & I wish that I took it more seriously & was still was able to play.

Congrats, new BOTW!
One thing I'm very proud of is that I moved out of my family's house at a young age (they were moving to FL and I didn't want to go) and worked full-time (plus some...to make ends meet I was working two jobs, at about 50-60 hours/week), went to school full-time, and also worked on various productions running the sound and building the sets when my schedule would allow for it. I only had to borrow money once - ONCE - in all of that time, and that was from FH when my cat ended up under emergency veterinary care. I kept an apartment in a safe neighborhood, and even though I was running on empty back then, it all paid off. I'm in the same apartment now (will be leaving it when we get married ) but working a regular 9-5 job (well, 10-6) and all of that theatre work in the past helped me land myself where I am now...with a huge theatre organization.
Something I regret is getting myself into debt...mostly due to my Pearl Jam tours, from a few years back. It's definitely not my #1 top regret ever, but it's something that I probably could've made wider choices about...but then I wouldn't have had such great experiences along the way.

I am proud of my CPA cause alot of work and hours of studying and auditing until crazy hours went into getting that!
I regret not going away to college, it was something I always wanted to do and talked about doing and then I let stupids reasons keep me home (aka a guy i was with for 6.5 years that was a complete LOSER.)

good question!
well, i really hate for the answer to revolve around my ex but it is, what it is
i try to not have regrets because i always try to take situations which i look back on and think that i shouldve made a different decision and realize that i really learned from the decision i made and i wouldnt have been the same without it so even with this regret, i still feel like whats meant to be is meant to be but here it is
i didnt go away to college and it was a dream of mine forever. i named a million reasons why but it was truly because i was in a relationship which i didnt want to end and i was scared to lose it.
in the end, that relationship didnt last and actually one thing that im preally proud of is that i had the courage to end that relationship. it was mentally abusing to me and i was totally trapped. it was extremely hard to end it and it took a while but i finally did and im proud that i was strong enough to do it

Congrats, Emily! Good question!
One thing I am very proud of is my education. Though I have a lot of student loans from undergrad, I recieved a full ride to graduate school to one of the top 5 graduate programs in my field (Student Affairs), and I got to work with an internationally-known student affairs practitioner and travel all over the country with her research team. That was one of the best experiences. I grew up in a single-family household in a town where divorce was VERY uncommon (when I was young, at least), and it really did not seem like I would ever be able to afford an education. As a first generation college student, I am very, very proud (and fortunate to have such great support!).
As for regret...I probably regret that I did not study abroad. I always wanted to do that, but I did not think I would be able to afford a venture out of the country.

my most proud is very easy: moving to a new country, having nothing, working shyt job full time and then enrolling in MBA program full time, getting my career and being where I am today. bottom line I am very proud of building a whole LIFE here all on my own.
biggest regret: kinda silly..... never kissing this guy I was crazy about when I was in the army. I had the perfect 2 hr 'moment' to do it, and I never went for it I was very naive and a scardy cat back then
great Q! made me think

Something that I’m proud of is that I got my drivers license finally at 34 years old. I never got it because my eyesight was really bad, but I finally got glasses and went for my license. Woohoo to me!!!
Something that I regret is being young and careless and getting myself into a lot of credit card debt, all of which I paid off, but it took me years to do it.

i am so proud to say that i have my MBA, i worked so hard to get it. it was so difficult traveling to long island every weekend from CT. (i started at stony brook and then we ended up moving to CT, and i couldn't transfer my credits) i'm also really proud to say that i own a home at the age of 24, i think thats a really good accomplishment.
as for a regret, i definitely got myself in some credit card debt, its something so stupid to do and i wish i wasn't so careless with money sometimes.

I am really proud of myself for not giving up on college when I was having a really hard time. I majored in Kinesiology and Exercise Science. It was a really hard degree with many science classes. I s uck at science and my final classes were Chem 1&2... I never took chem in HS so this class was like learning chinese to me. Bc they were my last 2 classes I was able to take them at home rather than at Cortland. Well although this is a little embarassing, I had to take them a combined number 6 times. I just didn't 'get it' I studied I worked hard I did my stuff I just couldn't pass (actually I couldn't get the B I needed to transfer). I finally passed them both and I was soo proud of myself. I was iffy about my last class and knew I would be close to the grade i needed but I wasn't fully confident. When I opened transcript at the end of the semester I cried I was so happy.
As far as regret.... I don't regret anything, I know everything I have done I have learned a lesson from so I don't regret anything and never have. This isn't to sounds stuck up or anything it is just a philosophy I have always lived by.

I regret too many things to even begin to discuss them...
I am most proud of myself for sticking with College, after the countless times I was - this close to quitting... Now I only have three classes left to graduate

I'm most proud of myself for moving to NYC on my own and being successful at it!
I most regret something that is VERY personal, but another regret is not doing a better job of keeping in touch with old friends.
And congrats again Emily!!

Something I'm proud of: finishing up college and grad school............and losing 50 pounds and keeping it off.
Something I regret? Nothing. I've done a lot of stupid stuff in my life, but I don't regret any of it. I wouldn't be who I am today if it weren't for the mistakes I made in my past.

Regret: dating my college ex-boyfriend/ex-fiance as long as I did (I knew it wasn't going to work out but foolishly took him back after our 1st break up)/

I am most proud of myself for being the youngest of three kids and being the first of them to go to go college and get my Master's, with no financial help from my parents, so it comes with a nice hefty student loan bill, but its mine. And the first to move out of the house into my own house. Also, losing 50 pounds and keeping it off
My biggest regret: credit cards

Hmm good question. I'm proud of moving out of my parent's house at a young age. Well, they technically gave me the boot, but they always begged me to come back but I was self sufficient and didn't need to. Not once and I'm proud of that. It's been 6 almost 7 years that I've lived on my own, 3 with FH.
I regret leaving school. I couldn't afford to stay away at school so I came back to Queens to work full time, hopefully save up some cash and get back into school. Still haven't gone back. I know I should and I will but I do regret leaving since it's going to make it that much harder to go back.

I'm proud of doing so well in college. Graduated with honors ... something that none of the other girls in my family other than my mom has done.
I regret a certain encounter with a married guy .... happened a million yrs ago but to this day... I wish I had been strong enough to resist.

This is going to sound a little silly, but I have a list of all the things I want to do and each year I try to achieve at least one of them.
Some things that I'm most proud of: Getting my M.A. and B.A. in five years total. Living and working abroad in Japan. Moving out when I was 17 (a necessity, but still scary). Most of all growing and learning in love with FH and being able to beat the odds.
As for regrets, I make it a rule to have none. No matter what has happened, and what I 'may have done differently', I don't have regrets. Every decision has gotten me to the point that I'm at today - and that point is a happy one.

I am most proud of graduating with honors with a double major and making it through two years of public accounting to get my CPA.
I always regretted losing touch with my best childhood friend. We had a major blowout sophomore year of college and didn't speak again for over a year. However, because of something terrible that happened to her family we began to talk again and now she is going to be the MOH in my wedding. Even though it worked out in the end I wish we hadn't missed those years together over something so stupid.

I'm proud of where I am in life. I live on my own, am independent and have a good job. I'm just proud of who I am.
Regrets - an ugly tattoo and not studying abroad or traveling at a younger age. I started after college and have been to many places. I just wish I would've started sooner.
