Hey ladies!! I am soooooo excited to be bride of the week, shout out to Jassy for picking me!
My first question is..
If you could have anyone at your wedding, dead or alive, who would it be and why?
Lately she's been on my mind constantly so I would have to say my paternal grandmother. I never got to know her as well as I wish I could.. She'd lived in Portugal all of my life and when I was about 10, she was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease. We visited about every other year but towards my teens, her health really started deteriorating.. Fast. She began to have almost Alzehimer's like symptoms and the last time I saw her (Feb 2010) she asked if I knew how her granddchildren that lived in America were doing.. meanwhile we were right in front of her! She passed away in August of 2010 but I was on a cruise at the time and was unable to attend the services.. Hardest thing to deal with thus far! Everyone always says how my personality is just like hers & I look the most like her so I really wish I would've gotten to know her better, I'm sure she'll be watching me on my day!
Your turn ladies!

I would love to have my grandparents there. I know they will be at my wedding in spirit. My paternal grandfather died when I was two. I don't remember him, but my father told me that my grandfather always had me in his arms. My paternal grandmother died three years ago in the hospital from a stroke. She was in the hospital treating a broken ankle and had a massive stroke while she was there. I wish I could have been able to say goodbye. We were very close. My maternal grandfather died when my mother was a teenager. I really admire him; he was a WWII vet. My maternal grandmother died in 2004. She was so bubbly and full of interesting stories. I really miss hearing them.

I would give my special person to fh. Fh father died 4 days before he was born and I know he would be so proud of him; or his grandpa who was like a father to him. I am a daddys girl so I know how much it means to me to have his support. I can't imagine how it is for fh to never have known him.

I would have to say all of my grandparents (parental and maternal) and great-aunt that are no longer with us. Also, my maternal grandmother, who is still alive (thank God), but isn't doing well and lives in Hungary.
