My question of the day is...

Do you like FH's last name? Will you be changing yours?

I love Gustavo's last name and am super excited to take it.. so of course I'll be changing mine! I'll be a little sad to part with mine.. just the daddy's girl in me!

I like FH last name but I dont like the way I write it when I sign my signature (Ive been practicing! ). I wont be dropping my last name though. Im going to hyphenate. I just cant lose my 'Gomez'. FH of course wants me to change it to just his but that isnt happening!

I love FH's last name for signing. It's much easier for me and prettier to sign than Torres. I am taking his last name and only his last name, but I am sad to part with my own. Now no one will REALLY be able to tell that I am 100% puerto rican.

I do like FH's last name. I have a an 11 letter last name and his is 5, both are hard to pronounce but I'm still going to take his last name ...I guess I'm just old fashioned that way!

While I like FH's last name, some people aren't 100 percent sure how to pronounce it despite it being straight forward. I mean - how hard is Valverde?

The problem is - it makes my long name even longer. I gain an additional 3 letters, onto an already hyphenated name.

Interestingly enough, my name starts sounding a little latino too.

But - and I don't know if anyone else has this - I'm a bit worried with my job. I have a name people there know me by, and I'm not sure if I want to change it professionally. I more than likely will use his name, but keep my maiden name at work.

I dont mind FH's last name, and Im actually really excited to change mine. Right now our son has his last name, so I feel left out! I cant wait for the three of us to finally have the same last name and feel like a 'real' family.

Changing my las tname is bittersweet for me. My credentials will be listed in my maiden name which is a bummer b/c i have worked hard for them. BUT... FH has told me straight out he will not marry me if i do not take his last name.... I might try to keep my maiden name for professional reasons....
Luckily although he is 1/2 Polish, 1/4 Irish and 1/4 Italian... his last name is the 1/4 that is italian, so i am ok with it.

and ladies you are not alone I practice writing his name all the time in class... but b/c my signature is not legiable anyway, i might just leave it and add an O to the end of the scribble.

For now I savor writing my last name... who knows how many more chances I will get....

This is a constant struggle between FH and I. His name is Irish, hence FutureMrsSweeney. Here’s my deal with changing my last name…I’m Puerto Rican and I like my Spanish last name. I identify with it. My family is very Americanized and I feel like if I change my last name, I’m going to be giving up the little Spanish that I have left.

I would like to at least hyphenate. FH wants me to change my name. So, I told him that if he does all of the paperwork to change my license, credit cards, Social Security, etc. I’ll change it. If not, oh well. HAHA He would never go thru the process of doing the paperwork. It just seems like a big project.

my last name is 'Salmon' haha I will most DEF be changing my last name to FH's. It's sounds a little harsher than the way my name flows now but I will feel so much better not being named after a fish... I will be Tiana Marie Bullock

Even though I love having a last name that starts with 'A', I'll be happliy changing it to be 'Mrs. K'.
Plus Courtney Kiendle sounds much cooler then me current last name, LOL.

I like his but it will be harder to pronounce and longer! And with my first name, I really don't need a longer name.
I don't have any strong connections to my current last name though, so I'm taking his! Now people won't know how Italian I am though haha but that's ok... when we met with Florio and I was spelling out my name for him, he was like, 'Oh a little bit Italian, huh?'

Wow, good question!

I like my Fiance's last name.... but I'm not 100% sure I'm going to change from mine yet. It's a really, really tough decision for me that honestly makes me sad.... I don't want to lose my name! If anything, if I did change, I will continue to use my last name as my 'stage name'

And funny enough, my last name is 8 letters long and of course his is 9 letters long. I don't want to have to add a letter!! hahaha

I am taking FH's last name. Me too Kat...he said he wouldn't marry someone who didn't take his last name! I would take it anyway. At least I go from an R to an H! LOL I am going to love being Mrs. H!!

I am taking FH's last name; however, I am not overly excited about it LOL. Julie Jollon just doesn't have the same ring as my current last name, but at least it's a lot shorter. My new nickname among friends is already JJ

And I have been practicing too
