* QOTD 1/26 *

I know this is early, but I can't sleeep since i slept all day so I figured I'd just post this now!

Thanks again deanna for making me BOTW. I am so excited!!

So my first QOTD is about where you plan to live after you are married? do you already have a house together? will you be buying a house before the wedding? or waiting till after? staying in apts? etc.

fh and i would love to buy a house now but right now we just can't afford it with saving $ for the wedding. We will continue to rent for now and right after the wedding our main goal will be to save for a house/townhouse. Hopefully within a few years we will save up enough!

We will hopefully staying on Long Island and buying a house, if not we will move to Queen and buy a condo/co-op after the wedding

we'll probably stay in the house that we own now for a year or two and then move off of long island, either upstate or somewhere in new england.

we are closing on a house in 4 weeks!!!! i can't believe it....after looking at like 150 houses I thought we would NEVER find something but I am so happy everything is working out. right now we rent an apartment

We are 'living in sin' in a house that I bought. Hopefully in a few years we will be able to buy our own house. As much as I try to make it our home...he feel's it's still my house. I can't blame him at all.

we'll be buyinga house before the wedding, and living in it after the wedding..... most likely staten island, ideally bay ridge (brooklyn)

FH and I hope to have enough saved up in both of our savings account for a down payment on a house sometime next year. I really would like to live in the town he lives in now, Lynbrook. My whole entire family (aunts uncles cousins) is from that town and they have great schools, and its close to where i work now (garden city) and a 35 minute train ride from NYC where my FH works... the house i want is actually on sale now :( but unfortunately we can't buy it at this time.

Right now we basically live together in his apt and we are prob going to stay there for a few years. I will fully move in of course once we are married but we def can't afford a house now

We'll stay in our apt for a few years. Than when we save enough we'll buy a house either in NY or make the move down south.

we have been talking about this over the past week. we currently live in an apartment downstairs from my parents. we are planning on moving out of their within the next couple of months. we will then stay in an apartment for a couple of years until we decide where we are going to live.

We bought a house in November, since then FH has been rennovating in order for us to move in. We hope to be moving in within the next couple of weeks. We will continue to live there after the wedding.

We living in sin too...We decied to buy it first and get married in 2010. I thought we needed a year to fix.

ITs funny you should ask this as FH and I were just having this conversation last weekend... With the housing market the way it is right now - we are thinking about buying a small house to live in for the first couple of years after we get married - then selling it and moving in to a normal house to raise a family. But - we will only do that if we can find the 'right' house to do that with. Otherwise, we will probably rent for a yr or two before buying a house....so I guess it all comes down to what is out there in about a yr when we start looking. We both live with our parents right now...

We live in our house...we bought one in May. It's reallyperfect for us...plenty of bedrooms (4) and full basement...so not sure we'll ever move...although I would like to be in nassau at some point

this is exactly what we're planning to do...

right now we don't live together, i live with my parents, so we figured around the end of this year, or jan 2010 we will look for a house n hopefully find one n close by april so we have a month and a half to decorate, etc, and after the wedding ill move in...something smaller suitable for us 2 and possibly a baby, btu then w/in a few years something bigger, more permanent
