When you first brought FH home to meet you parents/family did they like him or did he need to grow on them?

I am pretty sure they liked him. My parents probably wouldn't tell me if they did or didnt because they knew we were very happy.
Now I am sure they do, my dad said yes when he asked to marry me.

when i first brought fh home, I think my whole family was more nervous then he was. lol .But they liked him from the beginning.

The first time he met my parents was when he came over my house for dinner. Before he came my mom said 'if he brings dessert, he is good in my book. it shows that he was raised right and is respectful.' FH brought a pie so mom loved him.

FH is very quite, so I don't think it was that they didn't like him, it's that they didn't really get the chance to talk to him much. But they love him now...they even tell him they love him more then my sisers DH.

my mother asked when i'd marry him! she loved him the second she met him! my dad's an easy going guy and loves everyone. he went over very well with my family.

there was no formal 'come meet my family moment' the first time he picked me up to go out on our first date my mother answered the door while I got ready upstairs for another 1/2 hour and my cousins were at my house that day....poor guy was stuck dowstairs on a first date with my family watching American Idol for like 45 minutes!!!!!!!......... but EVERYONE thought he was soooooooooooo CUTE! ...then for me like 2 dates later I went to his house and met his parents and brother.....and THEY love me! That year I got better christmas gifts from his family than he did!

to be honest... its been 7 years... i cant remeber the first time they met.... im such a bad girl! haha i know my mom loves him because he is FDNY and she thinks that he can take care of me ( she still thinks ALL of NY and Long Island is like harlem!! ) and dad is in PA so they dont see us on a day to day basis... and I KNOW that his fam likes me more than they do him sometimes!!!

My parents heard so much about my FH before they actually met and they liked him from the start. Same for my extended family. I have never heard a bad word spoken about him.

my parents loved him!! i come from a very open family and they instantly took him in...he grew to love my dad and was abs. crushed when he passed in 2008...
his family was a different story...

OMG THIS IS A GREAT QUESTION...
So, fh and I both look like we are 10 (he and i have gotten id for everything, he even got id for scratch offs and a lighter!)
anyway, the first time my parents met him, when fh left my mother goes... and I quote:
'Jenny, did you check his id? Is he of age?' Granted... he is two and a half years older than i!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I dont remember about my dad, but before my mom met him she hated him because he is 4 years older than me and at the time I was still 16, but when she met him she loved him!

Well I wish I could say the samething as the rest of you but my parents were a little skeptical about him. For no other reason than he has a lot of tattoos and he was bald. Very different from every other guy I've dated. But in the end he grew on them and they feel in love with him just as I did
