*QOTD 2/11/14*

Thanks MrsPy for selecting me to be bride of the week! I'm going to try to come up with some good questions.

We all know that the wedding is the brides day. Even though its about the marriage everyone says its all about the bride. So my questions is...

What are you doing to make the day special for FH? Do you have any planned surprises or gifts?

I plan on getting a Yankees garter, doing boudoir photos, and if I can swing it- getting him a breitling watch. I will also get a grooms cake for the rehearsal dinner. I am also going to look into getting an Italian sports car to rent for FH to drive from the church to the reception. I want him to walk out of the church thinking we are going in the party bus with everyone and see this awesome car he gets to drive. I have no idea how I'm going to do this but I REALLY want to. I've been thinking about it for years.

I just want to add some thoughtful surprises for him since having a big wedding is making my dreams come true and I want there to be some things that he doesn't know about :)

I want to get a Rangers garter and maybe give him an album of b-pics the day of. I was thinking of maybe getting him a Rangers grooms cake for the RD, but I don't know how much that costs.

I tend to over-think things when it comes to presents for him when I know he would be more than happy to get something easy like 'I bought us tickets for the Ranger game tomorrow' LOL

We're also thinking of waiting until May or June for our honeymoon so maybe I'll book a weekend trip for right after the honeymoon so we can do something right after the wedding too.

Right now the only thing I have planned is a Han solo and princess Leia cake topper since he's a big star wars fan. I'm sure I'll think of more as it gets closer.

Re: *QOTD 2/11/14*

I plan on getting a Dr. Who garter and a Dr. Who cake toppers for him. I also plan on having a grooms cake for him at the RD which will be at his favorite place... APPLEBEES

I'm considering doing a boudoir shoot for him. This will honestly depend on how I'm feeling in my body due to the extra skin from all the weight loss

I also want to try to get our wedding pictures with the DeLoreans that are at the shop down the road from our venue.

The man I love is giving me the wedding of my dreams... and I want there to be as much HIM in the wedding as much as ME. ESPECIALLY since most of the GL is my family since I have the HUGE Italian family!

Well, to start, our reception hall is on a golf course. The only thing that gets him really excited is the idea of golfing the morning of the wedding. If you just gasped with nerves, you had my reaction! So, I consider letting him golf that morning to be a large gift haha. Also, I will be doing a groom's cake at the rehearsal. Our cake will most likely be chocolate, because that is his favorite, and I am planning on giving him some creative gifts and one really nice gift the morning of, but I havent decided what yet. I do know I want to get him Batman cufflinks (silver, not the cheesey yellow) and batman socks 'in case he gets cold feet'. Saw that on pinterest--love!

Re: *QOTD 2/11/14*

I already told him about the Groom's Cake...I'm terrible about keeping secrets, but I do have some surprises for him. I plan on making a boudior book to give him the night before the wedding, and I really want to buy him a nice camera - but I don't think I'm going to be able to afford it.
I also wanted to surprise him with a band at our after party. We've heard them at some shows, and they play in the subway all the time, but when I contacted their manager about them playing for an our at our hotel, they wanted $3k-$5k! I was like 'Um, sorry, but don't they play in the subway station FOR FREE?!' So that idea is out the window. But I still have plenty of time to think of something good.

FH is heavily involved with the wedding planning so it is definitely BOTH of our wants on our big day. We are doing superhero cufflinks for him and his groomsmen so it can have his touch of nerd. I am also thinking of doing a Flash garter as that is his favorite superhero. I am debating on boudoir photos (just don't know how comfortable I am with my body) and a Star Destroyer cake to present at the RD for him.

Are you ladies going to wear 2 garters, 1 for FH and 1 for the toss?

I will be doing a boudoir photo shoot for him! :) I am also going to purchase a cigar bar for him and my dad as a surprise since they are both contributing so much to the wedding! So this will be my special thank you to them! I already ordered the personalized matchbooks! :)
If money allows I am going to get something special for him- if not, i'll buy it for our first christmas since it is likely there will extra $$ :)

You could arrange and surprise him with a special excursion! Or a special dinner there on the beach or on a boat.
