****QOTD 2/11/12****

I can't believe this is my second to last QOTD, it has really been a good time being BOTW and I hope you ladies have enjoyed my questions.

Snowy Saturday?

Questions
Do you have a childhood memory related to the snow?
Do you have FH have winter memories that you'll forever remember?
Snow or Rain?

Answers
I loved the snow as a child. I don't clearly remember it, but I do know it from video my Dad took. Snowstorm of 1983!!! It was a Blizzard! And we have video of me playing with my Parents, Brother and Neighbors. My Dad would always build a huge mountain and we'd slide down it. Today snow is just annoying!

Our first snow living together was bad and we didn't even have a shovel. We walked from our apartment to the nearby Home Depot which was SOLD OUT! We ended up borrowing a shovel from a neighbor, but I ruined my UGGS that day and FH reminds me of it all the time LOL

I'm 50/50 here.
I like the snow because you can run through the flakes (Doesn't mess up your hair as much) and I love watching the snow fall... but I hate shoveling. With raing there's no work involved, so that's a huge plus.

I hate the snow... I always get annoyed when it snows because it's just plain inconvenient! I wouldn't say it's a childhood memory, but I went with my cousin to her prom in 2002 in May and it snowed! UGH!

I'l always remember going to Boston for the first time ever and there was snow everywhere! I loved Boston, but not the snow lol.

I'd rather rain than snow. I just hate the cold weather in general.

When I lived upstate right across the street from our house was a huge hill. The whole neighborhood would go sledding when it snowed.
Last year FH had his new DSLR camera when it snowed so we have a million of pictures of us doing stupid stuff in the snow.
I like snow like were having today. It looks pretty coming down but it is not making a mess out of the roads and no shoveling!

So many childhood memories of snow! The street I grew up on had a lot of kids around my age so we would build elaborate forts in the front of our houses and throw snowballs at cars!

It's hardto pick one winter memory since FH and I have been together for so long. I guess I would say the first time we stayed at his family's ski house with our friends. Snowboarding for the first time and sitting in the hot tub outside while snowing are things I'll never forget.

I don't really LOVE the snow, but I would like for there to be just one big snowstorm before the winter ends!

I hate the snow! Hate it!! It makes me

I grew up in AZ and went to college in FL. I don't have any childhood memories of snow.

Last year, FH and I went to his brother's house for dinner and we got snowed in! It was the day after Christmas and our little Honda couldn't make it out. We will always remember having to sleep on his brother's sofa.

I would rather it rain than snow.

I remember the blizzard Long Island got hit with in like 1995/1996. Where we literally got like 4-5 feet in a few days. The plows pushed piles so high in my front yard that we literally built an igloo.

The igloo had a door, benches inside, and we brought thermoses of hot chocolate, hanging out in there with like 4-5 kids got toasty.

It lasted about 4-5 days before it got destroyed.

FH and I don't really have any snow memories together. Up until last year we were always living in different states. One day hopefully.

Prefer Snow to Rain in the winter, but once we're past February - it better be rain.

Right? It's perfect snow. Like the other night too - a thin layer to make things pretty but gone by morning.

Growing up I always loved the snow. My best friend lived right across the street from me so she would always come over and we'd build a snowman and a fort.

So we bought our house Nov. 2010. We made a million trips to Lowe's but never thought to buy a shovel. Of course the first snow fall that year was pretty bad. His dad actually drove over to bring us a shovel. While we waited for his dad we went outside and played in the snow

the first time FH and I hung out he took me snowboarding at the hill in front of his hs. and we had our first kiss under the snow covered trees!

every time i think snow it reminds me of FH.... he always posts on FB when we are to get a big storm ' pray for snow' bc he has a truck, and a snowboard and a quad.

I am so anti-snow! hahaha

I remember we had a huge snow storm when I was in 4th grade, I believe and us and all of our neighbors shoveled eachother's walkways & driveways and my Mother made hot chocolate for everyone... haha that's the only big memory I have of snow, really. I do remember loving snow when I was younger (no school, obviously).... now it's just an inconvenience.

Only weather related memory I have with my fiance' is that we had our first kiss in the rain!

As a child I liked the snow because I did not have to drive in it, clean it up and because we had snow days off from school. I remember the blizzard of 1995, I was in junior high school. We were home from school for days. I had so much phone with my friends.

The memory that sticks out the most with FH and snow is not a good memory. Last year when we had the snowstorm Christmas weekend I decided to go out to the mall with my cousin not knowing that the snow would be coming down so hard. By the time we got out the mall there was snow everywhere and it was really bad out. I had to take her home and I kept getting stuck. When I was turning the corner to get on my block of course I got stuck again. FH was at my house and he was sleeping; he worked that morning. I kept calling him to help me but he's such a hard sleeper that he did not hear the phone ringing. Although I knew he was sleeping and he's a hard sleeper I was still very mad at him. I was able to get the car out of the snow (it was not easy). When I got in the house I yelled at him. I did not talk to him that night. I slept upstairs and he slept downstairs. While writing this I can't help but laugh !!!! The next day he shoveled the snow outside the house and cleaned my car.

Now I would much rather it not snow unless it's like the snow flurries we've been getting this winter. I hate driving it in and cleaning it.

My favorite memory of snow was the blizzard of 96. I had so much fun with my sister and friends. We did canonballs off of the back porch, went sledding, had snowball fights. etc.
My favorite winter memory was when FH and I went sledding in the park.

i dont have like a specific memory with snow from my childhood. But last year when we get that bad snowstorm after christmas my FH walked all the way from his house to my house to spend the day with me. It was so sweet. He shoveled my car and everything when he got here too. We also intend to have a semi snowflake themed wedding!

I much rather snow than rain. Snow is nicer and if it is just flurries it doesnt physically affect you the same way rain does.

I loved the snow as a child!!! I always went out with all the other neighborhood kids and we built forts on each side of the street and had huge snowball fights that lasted for hours, pulled each other around or had cars pull us on sleds, and went tubing down the huge hill at Eisenhower Park!

FH and I were sooo excited when it first snowed and we could take his 1 year old nephew out in the snow with us.... we had snowball fight and made snow angels with him. He loved it! We also snuck in thru the gates of his old HS with my sister late at night and went tubing down a big hill - we were the only ones there and had a blast!

Hmmmmm.... snow is prettier & I like playing in it, but I hate shoveling it. The only time I'm a fan of rain is when it's a weekend day where I already have nothing going on and can just lay in bed in my pajamas all day!
