In light of Valentine’s Day, we will have two questions today.

1.) What are your plans for tonight?

2.) What do YOU do to keep the romance alive? What are the little things that you do for your FH to remind him every day that you love and adore him? Please share your secrets!!

FH and I normally do not do anything extravagant for Valentine’s Day. We love each other every day! Since we are prepping for a wedding, we are going to make dinner tonight (Steamed Crab Legs, Salad, and Shrimp Alfredo Pasta) with something sweet for dessert. I got him a nice card, his favorite chocolate, and Citi Field Tour tickets.

Romance is a two way street, so I try my best to show FH that I appreciate everything he does for me. Here are a few little things that I do – I send FH cute text messages throughout the day, when I pack his lunch I include a note (yes, I know this is cheesy), and I try to plan fun and interesting date nights. We are a very affectionate couple, so we always hug and kiss hello and good-bye. Cuddling time is a must!

Here is my #1 secret to keeping the romance alive…I wear nightgowns to bed! I always try to wear sexy or cute PJs to bed (unless I’m sick or PMSing).

We are going to go out to dinner to the place where we are catering the food for Our Engagement Party in 2 weeks. If we cant get a table its no big deal to me. Saving for the wedding is better than Anything.

We tell each other that we love each other every day. We arent very mushy. Our relationship is great and it works. I wouldnt change it. Im not a clingy person and we never go to bed angry. =)

Tonight Ill be cooking us dinner.. Fettuccine alfredo with chicken and broccoli. Then Ill be kicking FH out of the kitchen so I can prepare my suprise fondue dessert for us.

Im very affectionate with FH (and him with me). We're always cuddling, huggjng, holding hands. We always send cute msgs to each other as well throughout the day. Sometimes a fewf frisky 1s also to keep the spice in our relationship also I always say please and thank you to FH when I ask for something to let him know I appreciate things. I find those 2 simple words very important and they go a long way. We're very playful with each other joking around and teasing each other in cute/funny ways. We also express our love and affection towards each other verbally on a regular basis. We say I love u, I miss u, he tells me how beautiful I am or Ill say how cute or sexy he is.

Erika the notes in the lunch is a really cute idea! Ive left lil notes on the bathroom mirror a cpl of times (he wakes up for work before me). But Im going to do the notes for his lunch cuz I always pack his lunch for him if we have leftovers. Thanks for the idea!

FH and I are going out to dinner at our favorite restaurant and possibly seeing a movie if it isn't too crowded.

We have a ritual of saying I love you every morning before FH leaves for work (he leaves before me) and it sounds silly, but every day I say 'Have a good day at work' and FH replies 'NO' in a whining voice. It's just something fun for us because there's a lot of things that keep the romance going and our humor is one of them We also make a point to eat dinner together every night and give a kiss goodnight before we fall asleep every single night.

Cute story to share: The last couple days I have been under the weather. Yesterday, while I was working FH texted me and said that a package just arrived for us at my job and asked if I could go check it out. Now I wasn't suspicious for two reasons:

1. Our apartment is located where I work since I am an Area Director for Residence Halls, so obviously our packages and mail arrive where I live and work.

2. We have had trouble the last couple of weeks with our mail because they kept sending packages back that had FH's name on it and not mine. So I had made a habit of checking up on the packages and didn't think twice about it.

Well, I went up to the office where the mail is delivered and theres a bouquet of 2 dozen red roses and white and pink lilies waiting for me

Happy Valentine's Day, Fabulous Brides

No real plans for tonight. I had wanted to make chicken parm (FHs favorite meal), but he has had a really bad tooth ache the last couple of days and can't really eat. So, I'll be making that this weekend AFTER he sees the dentist. I already gave him his present (bunch of small batman things and the new batman arkham city game for xbox), and he told me I have to wait til later for mine.

I pack his lunch every morning and always put a small note in it (Glad to see I'm not the only one who does this! lol). He'll email or text me just to say I love you throughout the day. I always kiss him goodbye and tell him I love him before I go anywhere. I didn't do it ONCE and he got sooooo upset about it lol. To me, it's all about the little things - so that's what I try to do.

Tonight we will be spending some quality time together like we always do nothing special planned. Hopefully FH is not too tired because he worked yesterday morning, last night, and this morning. My poor baby works too much. We will be going out to dinner tomorrow night because we do not want to spend hours waiting on line.

To keep the romance alive we send each other cute text messages on a daily basis. We are an affectionate couple we always kiss each other when we see each other and when we are departing from one other. We always cuddle. I can't be next to him without cuddling. We say I love you regularly. FH always calls me sexy especially when I'm wearing something he really likes. We don't call each other by our first names; I call him 'babe' and he calls me 'babe, 'boo', 'sexy'.

Erika years ago when I used to sleep over his house he would leave for work before me. I used to make the bed and leave him love notes. I haven't done that in years so the next time I sleep over his house I will do that.

We also try not to go to bed angry, but it doesn't always work. Sometimes we just need to sleep on it, and then are fine in the morning.

THIS!!

1) I actually take a vacation day every Valentine's because FH works until 11 and I work from 8-4 so if I don't.. We won't see each other. I have class tonight (woohoo!) so we're just hanging out on the couch and we'll go out to eat for lunch.

2) I never leave without kissing him goodbye and I try to always leave little notes here and there (bathroom mirror, fridge, etc) to remind him of my love! We also send texts throughout the day and he e-mails me once he gets into work.. I also do lots of corny corny stuff! Lol

Erika, I've heard that the PJ is a good way to keep the spark alive!

1. No big plans tonight. Last year we went big and did a Broadway show and dinner. We both work in the city and get home kind of late (and now we are saving $$ for wedding) so this year we're just going to take in some sushi and watch the Islanders game (we are both HUGE sports fans).

2. Nothing really. I mean, we live together and both rely on each other so much for certain things. We just have this mutual respect for what the other one does. That's enough to keep the romance alive.

All I can say is that I've been craving hibachi for the last like, 4 months hahaha
Then we are exchanging gifts! We went to an alumni Winter classic Rangers game on New Years Eve in Philly, so I bought him a hat with the logo on it, a tour of Citi-Field and a Mickey pin! and some candy, of course!

2. We always find time throughout the day to contact each other & let each other know we are thinking of them. If we know the other is busy at work.... we won't call, but we'll send a quick 'I miss you' or 'I love you' text. I loveeee getting those when I'm super busy at work!

im moving from my house to FHs house.... yes very romantic.

I hate vday and so does FH so we get each other cards, but always try and do something out of the ordinary that no one does. We go to dinner on a different night, and usually stay in and cook dinner

Haha well the surprise is where we are going and I THINK he's taking me to hibachi because like I said, I have literally been craving it for the last 4 months & we haven't had the time to go. Soooo I think that's what we're doing and then exchanging gifts!

1. We celebrated Valentine's Day on Saturday. We went to a german restaurant in Franklin Square. FH and I love german food. After dinner, we snuggled up on the couch and watched tv.

2. Since FH and I are on opposite work schedules we try to call each other at least once a day. On his busy days he'll text me to say he loves me. We also leave notes for each other in the apartment. Another thing we do is give each other compliments.

Tonight were going to Orlando's for dinner. It was where we had our first date and we gone every Valentine's Day since we been together, it is also where we got engaged.
Since we don't live together we always text each other good morning and good night. We both love to cuddle (even if FH won't admit it) and we always kiss hello and goodbye. FH also is one to do little romantic things.

We are going to sit home and watch tv. Alreadya te and did the movie thing earlier. It was nice. He is taking a nap now so we just plan to relax. While he sleeps I am making banana nut bread because he loves it. I found a way better recipe than I had and my other one was pretty good but this one rocks...sour cream..who would've thunk. If you want the recipe FM me...

To keep the romance alive we have a conversation over coffee and dessert every night. We email each other all day and we dance in the kitchen almost every day. Every single time I am cooking he comes up behind me and twirls me around so its really nice and cute. And I don't just ever kiss him hello...I really, really kiss him like steamy movie kisses like that he can think of me all day long! LOL sorry maybe TMI

I did nothing at all...sucks when u have school and FH didnt make plans oh well...

Well what i do when im over the FH house and he has work the next i make his lunch for him and yes i do it too ..i put a note in for him so it will cheer him up when he is working ..lol...but we take walks together and we spend time with each other ....b/c we really dont see much of each other b/c of school and work with me and his job is just crazy at times ...FH surprises me sometimes too and he is great like that!@

I just surprised my FH with pizza at home before practice since the team he coaches had practice and had dinner with my FIL's lol.

We always keep our love alive because we are attracted to each other so I always try to wear cute stuff lol and we always say i love you to each other all the time
