QOTD 2/24/2013

I'm very sad that today is my last QOTD. I had so much fun coming up with them!! Thank you for letting me be BOTW!!

Today's question is about your bridal party.

Is there anyone in your bridal party that you kind of wish wasn't?

FH chose someone kind of out of obligation. He was in his wedding years ago and felt he had to ask him to be in ours even though they aren't nearly as close as they used to be. I'd normally be fine with the this is except the guys is a real d**k. He's nasty and disrespectful a lot of the time but then really sweet other times which kind of makes you forget the other side of him ... Oh well nothing we can do about it now!

Stay tuned for who the next BOTW is!

Yes unfortunately my cousin (BM) has been giving me a very hard time. She recently told me to change the flower girl dress for her daughter and when I told her no we got into a screaming match and she hung up on me.

Yes... My out of town cousin is giving every hard time about the dress. Told meshes ants to lose 30lbs before buying it and that she will get around to buying it in September. The wedding is in December.... I finally washed my hands of it and said well you know the time frame, it's in your hands now... We shall see!

Great questions all week!!!

Thankfully no. Everyone is being great so far, although I think it's due to 1) my party is a little older 2)I'm trying REALLY hard to make it as easy on everyone as possible!

Luckily, no. My bridal party is and will probably continue to be completely uninvolved. Sometimes I like that and sometimes it annoys me. On the other hand, I'm my best friend's MOH (she's getting married before me) and her bridal party is awful and planning her shower (her mom is no picnic either) has been an absolute nightmare.

We chose our bridal party very wisely and kept it to only family (that we like) and one best friend each. It has worked out perfectly. If I had to pick one complaint it's that fh's brothers are procrastinators and one is making our custom cake topper and with one month to go has no sense of urgency what so ever about it which is making me a little nuts! Otherwise smooth sailing!

I wouldn't really say that I don't want any of them in the party but I wish they'd be more helpful. My sister is my MOH we are not close and she seems to care about nothing. FH sister us OOT for school and we are not close either.

I'm the same way. I wouldn't say I don't want them in the party, but I wish they'd act interested. My FSIL has been MIA - I literally haven't seen her since FH's birthday (1/5) even though I have tried several times for a BP get together. I had my MOH and other BM over the other night and never even heard from my FSIL. She had answered me the day before saying she wasn't sure (I had set this up A MONTH ago) and I never heard from her the day of. It's just getting annoying. I feel like because we've been engaged over a year that people aren't that excited and don't realize how close it's getting.

I agree with some of the Brides when they say its not that I wish they weren't in my bridal party....but act like you are interested in making my day special JUST A LITTLE!

I'm not going to mention names, but there is one BM who has non-stop made excuses on how busy she has been, she will go get the dress soon...oh I forgot I had to work today...(and this comment really erks me) Oh the wedding is still like almost a year away....THATS BESIDES THE POINT...dont act like you have plenty of time because we all know TIME FLYS!

I planned a BM get together at my house like 3 weeks in advanced...the problem BM said she could def make it....then the morning of she was like OH I FORGOT, I already have plans....meanwhile she is the main reason I wanted to get the BM's together!

Ok vent over...

I've heard some horror stories so comparatively speaking I have to say I can not complain about anyone in our wedding party!

This I can relate to. My sisters are my MOH's and one is getting married this year too, so yeah it's a very busy time but for example we all went together go see her RH and help her make a final decision on it, but none of them had time to come to mine when I asked them like 3 different times to come with me.

thankfully no, although my MOH was self appointed but nobody else seemed to care or want to take on all that responsibility. fine by me! :)
