What was your first meeting with your future in-laws like????
I first met FMIL and FFIL at my grandfather's funeral! My grandfather passed away about a month after FH and I met, so he came to the funeral. Well his parents decided to come with. I had no idea they were coming, so I was kind of shocked when I saw them.

it was about 3 weeks after we started dating, my friend gave me her tix for the yankee game and i asked him if he wanted to go, he then said yes, and told me to come to his house because it would be easier to take the train from there. so i showed up to his house early on a sunday morning, wearing a yankee jersey. i remember it being weird and i was a little uncomfortable. i do remember his mom ironing clothes on the dining room table because she had to go to a wake and was rushing because someone was coming to pick her up.

The first time I met him parents was awhile into our relationship. He was afraid to have me meet them because he thought I would get scared away. His family past isn't the best so he was really hesitant. Anyway, I met his mom and sister first and then his dad and his new wife when I went up to NH with him. Both meetings went really well. His dad and me get along really well to this day. I get along with his mom and sister but not as well. They haven't straightened their lives out and sometimes his mother says things to him like 'just make sure this is what you want.' So I don't know what her problem is with me lately lol
