the first time i met fh parents was one night at his house. there i also met his brother and his freinds. his mother and father started talking to me but me being shy, i really didn't talk much. but after i guess a month later i was really comfortabls around them. and i know they love me, they call me almost everyday to say hi to me and we just bull shyt.
FHs dad passed away in 2000, so I'm not fortunate enough to have met him, but I met FMIL the day i met FH because i was at his house (went to meet up w/a sorority sister who was dating FHs friend and they were at his house) and while we were all hanging out, his mom came downstairs to say hi n see if we all wanted anything to eat...i met her then! lol

The first time I met his father and stepmother was after school one day, we went back to his house to 'study'and they were home cooking dinner...i even remember the meal, it was meatloaf.
The first time I met his mother was a few months later, it was Easter. They got in a huge fight and his mother told him 'i wish i had an abortion with you' Clearly, she made quite the first impression on me!![]()

FH's mom passed away when he was 13 so sadly I never met her. (which is the reason I never can reply to the FMIL issue posts on here).
I met FFIL, in passing the first time I was leaving his house as he was getting home from work we were introduced but that was all.
Offically we met and got to know eachother at the hospital while Matt was in a coma. He has a long itme GF also and that is where I first met her as well. It was certainly awkward but I think we were all support for eachother so they took to me well, after they saw my dedication to FH.
So yea definatly not the ideal meeting of the FIL's
Seriously you have to stop with these stories bc I just can't take them lol jk,....that just to me shows how much harder it must have even been the fact that you didn't even know his family that well omgoodness you're a saint lol

I actually still think about the first time I met them and I actually tear up a little when I think about it i.e. sap haha....
Soo we hadn't even officially started dating yet and fh and his friends were doing a party bus. So, I was going to go and actually sleep over his house. He was so respectful too, me and his brother's gf at the time (fiance now too) slept in their bedroom and they slept in the basement. Anyway I remember his mom was very welcoming and kissed me hello she was outside as I pulled up. As I went to walk into his house I still remember like it was yesterday his dad standing at the door with this big goofy grin and I turned to fh and was like omg you look just like your dad lol. Anyway they were so awesome and funny and made me feel so comfortable. That night I actually stayed up the whole night and couldn't sleep bc I just couldn't believe that this had finally happened to me. I had found someone who cares about me just as much if not more than how I care about him and has this great family that I get to be apart of. I was so grateful for that that I just laid awake in awe and happiness and am still so grateful for them to this day. They treat me like one of their own, in good ways and bad haha I get yelled at every now and then lol but I know they would do anything for me and they have proved that time and time again. Don't get me wrong nothings perfect we have our moments, but I know I couldn't find better inlaws out there and I love them very much.

I actually met my FIL's before FH and I started dating. we are part of the same circle of friends and Medieval group, and I had been over many times before he and I started to be interested and date each other, so the fun one was the meeting of my mom and grandma and his parents lol
at his house ands he cooked dinner it was kool
First time I met FMIL she ignored me and wouldnt even acknowledge me, didnt even ask my name...I ended up with his grandmother and his 'aunt' (grandma's best friend) for the night...

I met FFIL the first day I met FH which was at the track, but it was before i started even seeing FH
FMIL, I met a month after we started seeing each other. We went out to dinner for FH's b-day with his brother/wife, sister/husband, and then we went back to FH's house and I met his mom, I was very nervous and it was kind of akward.

I first met FH's parents a few months after we started dating (we had been friends for about 6 months before that) and they invited me over to dinner...i am catholic and my FH is Jewish so they asked me a ton of questions about how religous I was etc...after the initial questioning it seemed to go fine but for about a month after that I was not allowed back in his house because I was not jewish...finally fh got so mad that and told his parents I was here to stay no matter what..so now things are pretty normal and friendly

umm.. it was ok.
FH has his room in the basement so i can go in and wouldn't even run into his mom. I think i forgot actually the very first time.
She was probably just on the sofa watching tv and i came in and said hi, she said hi.. and i think that was it lol
