QOTD 3.25.10

Mornin ladies!! Time's flying by and soon we'll be the next to get married.

W/ that in line, there are a few more celebrations that we have before we get married. So the QOTD is

Are you considering a joint bachelor/bachelorette party with you FH? If not, are you going to set some ground rules for your FH for his party?

Do you ever wonder what goes on at his friend's b-parties?

I'm not going to have a joint party w/ FH. I want FH to have some fun w/ the boys and I want to have some fun w/ the ladies. The only thing that i'm going to tell him is to just not do anything filthy. I trust FH - i dont know about his friends though and that's their problem

I do wonder what goes on at other bachelor parties and FH hasn't been to many bachelor parties but he's pretty upfront about it when I ask him about it. As long as he is faithful to me, then that's all that matter. They can go buckwild if they want! just be faithful!

We are going to have separate bachelor / bachelorette parties. I don't really care what he does, as long as he is faithful and does not have some nasty naked girl all over him.

Good question!

I will NOT be having a joint bachelor/bachelorette party. I want a weekend with my girls!! And I really think FH deserves a weekend with the boys. He wants to go to AC with his GMs and I'm totally fine with that. I trust him- he's never given me any reason not to.

FH has actually never been to a bachelor party while we've been together. We're really 1 of the first couples in our group of friends to get married. Our best friends are getting married in December, so he'll be going to a bachelor party for that. I really don't mind, because like I said, I trust FH and I know he wouldn't do anything dumb. He's just not that type of person.

...wow after reading that back it sounds like famous last words lol

Definitely separate, no clue what people have in store for me and I don't want to know what they have in store for FH.

I have already set some ground rules, to which his friends have agreed to abide:
1. FH must come back alive and in one piece (unharmed/unbroken)
2. FH may not come back with any critters
3. I prefer FH not get arrested

We are doing both!!!

We are having separate --FH going to Vegas with the boys and we are thinking cancun for the girls-- then a few weeks later we're hitting the boardy barn as a joint one!!!!

FH and I will be having a joint party or weekend away with our friends. He said he didn't want a bachelor party so we came to a consensus that we'll do something fun with all our friends.

I wouldn't have stopped him from having his own party but honestly, I was relieved when he didn't want one. He has told me some stories about ones he's been to and it makes me sick to my stomach.

I've heard stories from my sister's BF and some guys are really disgusting!!! But sometimes they have some really funny stories. Again, as long as their faithful, they can have all the fun that they want!

No, I COMPLETELY agree and it's up to the FH to set the rules and boundaries. When FH took FBIL to a strip club for his bachelor party a few years ago FBIL didn't even drink and really wasn't into it. FH was annoyed at the time since he went through the trouble and FBIL wasn't having fun but now says he understands. It really is the guy. If he's a good guy to begin with, a bachelor party isn't going to change what he would normally do.

sounds like something we would do. I know he is going to vegas.. i dont know if my girls can afford to go away anywhere... but we are doing something. then I am sure we are going to do something at home. we would DEF do boardy barn, but it will be April :(
opening day is always the weekend before mem day... aka - the weekend we are getting married lol

Absolutely not! I want to have my night out with my girls and go wild - cuz a girls only night out is just not the same as a night out when the guys are around! LOL.

No ground rules - it's his night, he can go wherever he wants and do whatever he wants (just as long as he's no do-ing another girl of course LOL).

I know what goes on at those things and it doesn't bother me. In all honesty, I've been to a lot of bachelorette parties that I feel are way more risque and wild than a bachelor party could ever be. All guys want to do at a Bach party is get drunk and have boobies bouncing around in their faces. I feel girls are a bit more crazy at their Bach parties.

Will we be having a joint Bach party? No. I honestly don't think I'll have one unfortunately. My best friend lives in NY and won't be out here and I don't really have any other girlfriends out here, so I don't think I'll be having one. As for FH, my brother is DYING to take him to vegas for his. My brother will be fresh out of the Navy too, so he's super excited about it.

Any Rules? Not really, I think the only thing I would ask is no strippers coming to the hotel room. That can get really shady. I trust FH, but I don't like the idea of some chick having her parts all over my FH. But whatever. He's a good guy, he's not really into that stuff as it is, but I don't think he'll have much say! At least both my brother and his dad will be there.

Other Bach parties...I don't think he's been to many recently. I haven't heard any stories of any previous ones either. FH and I are really the last of our group of friends to get married so we'll see how that translates to his.

We really want to do a semi-joint: Everyone flies to Vegas. We do some girls nights and some group nights.

The best of both worlds!!!

As for rules I'm not really worried, but:
Come home before dawn
Look but don't touch :)
Don't get sick and make me clean it haha
And don't spend all our wedding money gambling

We haven't even thought about this, but I think separate will probably be more fun. And I never lay down rules with FH. I trust him, he trusts me, thats all there is to it. He's a big enough boy that if he screws something up on his own, he knows he will pay for it My best friend is a guy, a guy with really raunchy friends at that, and I know what went down at his bach party (not him, a couple of his GMs). I hope nothing like that happens but it is what it is!
