I hope you ladies liked my first question. Its always nice to get to know a lil more about each other. On that note...this question is kind of a spin off on mariedsgn's question today... Well... it was inspired by her question.
When you and FH / FW move(d) in together, was there anything (s)he wanted to bring with him/her that you secretly or not so secretly wanted to trash? Or did trash? And vice-versa? If so, what? How did (s)he react?
For me... FH and I moved in together 'officially' this year...but he kinda been here for years now. So, my apt. was always clean, clear and organized....until he moved his stuff in. One thing I want to get rid of is something he bought for me, or us, but he was sneaky about it. It's a 5 in one game table the size of a twin size bed...just too big for an apartment. He hasn't played it yet, and its been assembled for 2 yrs. So I want to get rid of it...if he lets me. I just don't want to hurt his feelings. LOL That and his roll top desk... too bulky and in my way. Its just collecting dust anyway...nothing is in it and he doesn't utilize it at all. (sigh) Prime real estate could be used for my SHOES!

This is a great question....When FH & I moved in together he brought over an old album that he had....well that album had pictures of his Son ( my adorable future Step-Son ) along with his Son's Mother. Guess what LIL ol' Lisa did with all her pictures????? You got it!!! one by one they got torn up into pieces & in the trash You know I was going to keep them since my step son does spend time here as well but ......then I came to my senses & got rid of them & FH helped me tear them up also. OOOOHHH WELL

I wanted to bring my childhood stuffed animal named marshmallow, he's about 2 1/2 ft high bunny and I love him. FH hates him and everyday asks me to throw him away....I compromised and washed marshmallow and he sits in my closet guarding my shoes and bags!

FH & I have been living together for 3 years know. it was taken me this long to get all my stuff out of my parents house & FH still have stuff at his moms. i have millions of little knick knacks that FH hates. he doesn't make me throw them away but he has made me put them away.
as for FH he has his stupid computer desk that i don't like. it is very big & takes up a lot of space. he doesn't want to get a new one because his grandmother bought it for him when he started high school.

Actually, now that I think about it, no. He left most of his stuff at his parents home and I think his mother threw the majority of it out I think if I had to at the time, it would've been his life size cardboard cutout of Carmen Electra
He wanted me to throw out an old stuffed animal I have, it's Fievel (the mouse from the American Dream), and I got him from my grandmother years and years ago. He thinks it's ugly. Right now it's at my dad's house, but eventually he's coming back to mine.

Re: ******QOTD****** 3/31/09
there were a few things that fh had that screamed bachelor....like a poker area carpet, sports illustrated swimsuit calendar, etc....those things i didn't want him to put in our apt bc we only have a 1 bedroom apt.....once we get a bigger place with an office or basement he can put those type of things in there...but i dont think they really go in like our living room since its not a bachelor pad!

Re: ******QOTD****** 3/31/09
as horrible as this sounds, i really really wanted him to go thru all his childhood boxes (theres 20 or more of them) with his stuff from when he was a kid. he had to pack all the stuff away when his parents divorced and his mom moved to a small house that couldnt fit it all. so now all these boxes are sitting in the garage, taking up half the space. i really wish he would go thru them but i think its an emotional thing too..

Fh and I don't officially live together yet, but I'm moving in slowly but surely. He's lived in the condo for two years by himself, so there's defnitely lots of bachelor stuff. I don't know that I have anything specific, but there's lots of big decorating things I'd do. Everything is brown and red, and I'd like to add some light.
As for me, I have a million books. My room in my parents house has three bookshelves, all of them stuffed, and I have books in boxes that I've never even unpacked since when my parents moved when I went to college. I know FH doesn't want me to bring them all with me when I move, but I know I will! One day when we have a house, I want a library, so this will be a nice start :)

FH moved in with me with very little. He pretty much threw out everything he owned from his previous relationship. The one thing he wanted to bring...but I wouldnt allow...was a snake.

Re: ******QOTD****** 3/31/09
When he moved into his apartment and I moved in shortly thereafter, I made him throw away his memory box of his first girlfriend...There were things in there that should never have been saved in the first place and it was disgusting to me to think he still had it almost 6 years later...That box made it into the garbage so fast your heads would spin. He also has alot of guy [email protected] and boxes of random wire's and papers...that all needs to go when we move back in together
