I'm a Reference Librarian at a public library and I'm also in charge of the programming for adults here. I'm happy to say I love my job. At the moment one thing I don't like is that one of my coworkers, whom I'm close with, expected to be in my bridal party and has been mad at me since like November that she's not in it, it has made things super awkward at work since we share desk space and everything plus I just wish I could talk to her about it like we always talked about stuff but now I feel weird. Before this drama occurred I would say that what I didn't like would be the occasional creepy perverted people that I have to deal with.

I work for the NYPD (so does FH). There are plenty of things I can't stand about my job (lol), but what I can't stand the most is not being guaranteed to be off on holidays with my family. That really sucks, but believe or not, I'm used to it...

Thank you to you and your FH for all that you do! My father is retired NYPD and so is FFIL. FH is I'm law enforcement as well. The holiday thing really sucks so I completely understand, I'm getting use to it too though, I was already sorta used to it with my dad already.

I'm a bookkeeper for my FHs family's landscaping company. There are a ton of perks about working for family (flexibility with days off, laid back work environment etc) but it is a family owned and operated business, so I'm the only 'outsider'. It's a small company, so I don't have any work friends besides my 2 FSIL's. It has its moments, but I wouldn't want to do anything else

I'm a bariatric/vascular coordinator for a surgical group. I like my job. I really do. Except for the insurance companies... SO ANNOYING!

Honestly.. I could do without my coworkers and their middle aged bitter women drama. I swear they LOOK for things to b*tch about. I also just wish I could be my own boss. On Fridays I'm in our second office for most of the day alone... we only see patients for about an hour and then I'm in the office by myself and I GET SOOO MUCH MORE STUFF DONE!!!

First and foremost.... For all of the excessed teachers, I'm sorry the system got you and it's a real messed up way to handle something that wasn't your fault.

Secondly, I'm an NYC fifth grade teacher. I love teaching, but I absolutely can't stand teaching... to the test, that is.

They want my ten year olds to be able to think critically but I'm lucky if they all know how to spell their own names (some of them don't...). I just took a practice test similar to the state tests that are being given in the next couple of weeks and let me tell you something... I was ready to rip it up and wipe my you know what with it. Here is an example of one of the questions (paraphrased, of course).

Katie likes flowers. Her rainbow has six colors. Horses are mammals and the current time is 11:14. How many toes does a fish have? Show your work.

RIDICULOUS !!!!

I work as a receptionist for a Urologist full time and I am an event planner/Day of coordinator as well. As for the urologist I love my job and I am very lucky. (FH even propossed here!) I guess the only thing I dont like is that I dont make as much money as Id like. As for the event planning I love every second of it, I just wish I could make it my full time job
