~*~*~*QOTD 4/5/13*~*~*~

Good morning ladies! Here's your QOTD:

Is there any aspect of the wedding that you have relinquished control of to your FH?

I have honestly done everything so far, I wanted to let him do the tux thing himself but when he told me his wacky ideas I started to panic so I think I'll be overseeing that aspect as well. I don't mind doing it all, this way I'm getting everything exactly how I want it, and he can focus all his energy on studying for the sergeants test. (Who couldn't use a nice pay raise before we have kids?! )

absolutly not I am a perfectionsit and FH has little interest in this wedding planning. I make the appointments, he comes if he isn't working, and basically it goes like that. lol Sometimes I wish he had a little more interest but it works for us. He came for DJ, Limos, and Venue. And there is no way he will be coming for flowers because he will kill me when he realizes how much they cost!

The only thing FH wants to be in charge of is haggling with the vendors to get the most bang for our buck. I'm also giving him the job of picking out the groomsmens gifts because I don't have the slightest idea what they would like

There is one. Fh can't be like everyone else and just get a classic rolls Royce for us he wants a hotrod or a ratrod. So since I wouldn't even know where to start and he goes to all sorts of car shows and knows people like that I leave it up to him.
Other than that it's all me though I take his input. Sometimes lol.

Fh is pretty good he puts his input in with the vendors. I did take a bit control over the registry after he registered for a 200 ipod connection system I was like no lol. Plus fh isn't very kitchen savy so that was really my department anyway.

Re: ~*~*~*QOTD 4/5/13*~*~*~

FH has been involved in every aspect. We go to all the vendors together, buy everything together and assess what needs to be done/ when are we going to do it together. I am really grateful he is so into this. I swear sometimes he is in to it way more than I! We are a great team

I agreed that the RD can be at applebees. I'm also letting him pick a majority of the music.

Everything I ask his opinion on is 'Okay.. whatever you want babe!'

FH has been fully involved thus far, but I'm letting him deal with tuxes on his own. Also, while we both decide where to go for our honeymoon, I'm letting him book it and work out all the details and add-ons and what-not. As excited as I am to go on the honeymoon, he loves planning trips WAY more than I do.

He hasn't wanted any control, but he keeps track of the budget. I don't make any decisions without his ok, but he oks whatever I like bc he really just wants me to be happy. I told him he's in charge of the honeymoon, but I know I'll end up doing that too. I'm too OCD to let him do things.

He also makes fun of me saying that anything he does, I'm going to redo the way I had wanted it, so there's no point in him doing it anyway. Lol

No way! My personality is type-A and I need constant control! I am letting research honeymoon destinations since he finds it fun - but I WILL be making a spreadsheet with all of his info!

Hahahaha, no. Our wedding would turn out to be zombie and hunting themed if my FH could plan it. I guess I'll let him pick out his own tux... But he keeps joking and saying he's going to wear a light blue tux with a top hat and his guys have to be in orange and some other funky color. Men.

He picked out the colors. Which were the colors of the outfit I was wearing the day we met, many years ago. So I approve. He can decide what kind of tux he wants too, as long as it incorporates our colors.

Hahahaha this is what FH keeps telling me. That's why I don't let him decide on anything. I live by the words 'if you want something done right, do it yourself'. Lol

FH's only big responsibility is keeping track of payments made, how much we've spent this far, and who has contributed what. We aren't playing tit for tat with our parents, we just like to see what we've put into our wedding.
He's just as into planning as I am, and I am so thankful for that.
I'd let him be in control of what him and the guys are wearing, but after he suggested a grey suit with our brown and rust theme I nearly died! I'll be taking care of that with him!
