Seems like QOTD is up for grabs - sorry if I step on anyone's toes today.
Our anniversary is coming up next month and just 2 1/2 weeks before the wedding.
I was wondering if anyone is planning on still celebrating their original anniversary date after they're married. I'm sure we will do something to commemorate the day for a few years. It'll feel weird for a while to not acknowledge such a major date for us but I guess after the wedding it might feel different. Happy Sunday Ladies.

We have been together got 14 years so I am sure it is a day that we will still acknowledge but I feel like the wedding day will become our new official anniversary.

We don't really have an anniversary. We've been together 12 years but a lot of that in the beginning was on again off again. So, we don't celebrate an anniversary. I'm looking forward to actually having one! Lol.
FH proposed on the anniversary of our first date so now it feels even more special to me. I think we'll still have a small celebration for that anniversary. Any excuse for a fun dinner and wine night

Our dating anniversary is 10/16/07. I'm sure we'll still acknowledge it. We usually go to dinner in the city and to see a play, not sure if we'll continue that pattern or transfer it over to our new anniversary tradition

We wanted to do that too, but our anniversary wouldn't fall on a Fri/Sat until 2016. We weren't going to wait that long. There are babies to be had!! Lol

Our 7 year was on the 17th and we just had ice cream cake lol We have never made a big deal out of our anniversary because we just chose a date since it was never official at any specific time. It was a little more special this year though because next month a whole new countdown begins!

Ooh yes, we love celebrating our dating anniversary. We've been together for 5 years as of February so we're already too attached to that date to give up celebrating it, lol. I think we agreed no big gifts for the dating anniversary, post wedding, but we'll go out to dinner at the very least, or give something small.

That's similar to us. Our dating anniversary date is 2/27 and even though we wouldn't marry in the winter, I kept looking for a 27th day of the month that fell on a Saturday. So for the first eight venues we saw, our date we gave was 6/27/2015. But by the 9th and final venue we saw, we realized we didn't want to wait two years to get married, lol. Like you said, there are babies to be had!

Our 6 year dating anniversary is coming up in August (a month and change before our wedding) and we plan to celebrate...I suggested to FH that we re-enact our first date by meeting up at the spot where we met for the date and going to the same restaurant (hopefully it is still around, lol).

That's cute!!! I'll keep my fingers crossed that the restaurant is still open for ya!
