Today's question is about FH... how involved has he been in the planning? Has he been a help or a pain? Were there things he cared about that kind of surprised you or did he kind of just say 'yes dear' to everything?
FH for me has been a huge help. He is much more practical and grounded than I am so when I start freaking out about details he puts it all in perspective for me. He definitely has an opinion... he put his foot down at a few halls because of things like 'the smell' or 'the acoustics' at the Vanderbilt. Food was a HUGE deal to him as he is my little food snob and he also took a huge interest in the hotel block but I think that is because all of his guests are OOT. But for the most part he takes a back seat, he'll come along to every vendor but in the end lets me make the call when he knows it is something that is very important to me. I don't think the planning would be as easy as it is for me if I didn't have him helping me along or being as supportive as he is.

Fh wanted to be involved in picking the RH and the band. Other then that, he lets me do what I want. If its something we have to pay for I always consult him first b/c he's really cheap!

FH doesn't really mind helping if I ask, but doesn't have an opinion. He wants musicians for the cocktail hour because he's a musician. He wanted a band for the reception...I vetoed that idea...I want a DJ. He is involved as much as I ask him, but no more!

I always value his opinion and I always always ask him before I do anything related to the wedding if he agrees/like whatever I want to do/buy...He really helped with booking the vendors and after that he took a back seat to things i wanted to do. Suddenly now though he is really voicing his opinion on things (like invitations right now) and I dont mind, I like when he gives his opinion on our wedding...

Re: QOTD 6/10/10
he is involved in about 80% of the planning. he had opinions about all the vendors and contributed ideas as well.
some stuff he has no interest in...flowers, cake, invites..things like that. and some DIY stuff i have planned. so far i have intentions of doing that all myself but he would def help if i asked.
its not just my wedding its his too so i feel its important that we do things together and that he has opinions

FH wants to be involved in everything- even though he knows I have the last say!!! But he's been quite helpful- he was actually the one who picked out our centerpieces...

FH has actually been a really good help he basically helped and had input on everything lately...at first no and i hated it bc i kinda felt like he didnt care at all but now he is caring a lot more and having more input on lil details that he usually said he didnt care about!

FH has been somewhat involved. He came with me to a few appts and the food tasting and helped make the decisions for the RH and also our planner. I have made all the appts and done most of the research myself. He is more into the guest list and budget part.

Re: QOTD 6/10/10
FH is very involved after the research part which is my job and he knows and values how well I do it. Just yesterday he went to the florist by himself to talk pricing and look at a sample and told me that the CP looks a bit too simple and that maybe we need to add or change. R was also adamant about the kind of wedding he wants. I actually at 1st wanted a casual restaurant thing his response was 'over my dead body'. It does feel as if its OUR wedding and he cares about it so much which makes me feel very happy about my choice of him as a husband (don't think I could've done it without him)

Re: QOTD 6/10/10
initially FH said the only thing he wants was to have a band at the wedding. so i thought this was going to be easy, but its not. FH is very laid back & doesn't really understand that you have to book in advance. not to mention if i show him something i like (ex: flowers) he will say he doesn't like them (which is fine he is entitled to have an opinion) but he doesn't offer an alternative.
i want him to be involved so to avoid any problems i do as i please with the planning & then fill him in before a final decision is made. it works out well.

FH is involved, but he has become a little less involved. He used to be on me to be involved with everything, now he has relaxed a little bit

Not involved at all!!! I'm picking and doing whatever I want and he's fine with it...He knows I will make it perfect.

Re: QOTD 6/10/10
FH wanted to be included on the RH, our DJ, and the HM... other than that it is all me. Once and a while though he has a small request so I try to accomodate those since I am making 99% of the desicions. I do have veto power though for those totally off the wall ideas that he has sometimes.

Re: QOTD 6/10/10
he's been involved in all the planning. he's not overly involved where its annoying or anything. I do most of the initial research and then we both go meet vendors and he does the negotiating!
while he has been very helpful with all the big things, i know he doesn't really care about colors or other little details. That is all up to me.

FH has been very involved in planning. We went to every single vendor together and made every single decision together. He even helped me choose our color scheme. I'm surprised he didnt try and help me choose my dress
Its good to have him there helping me, because its hard to make some of those big decisions by yourself.

Re: QOTD 6/10/10
FH hasn't been involved at all, he came to the RH to see which one I had decided on and to book it thats it. He trusts all my decisions and just wants to know how much everything is costing and as long as I'm staying within the budget
