This QOTD stuff is hard hahaha but I love being BOTW!!!
So, in all your planning, what has been the easiest vendor? The hardest vendor? Any surprises?

Honestly, all of our have been pretty easy. I keep saying to FH that we are very lucky that we've met a ton of awesome people...that are now our vendors. No one was pushy or over the top.
I think that in the end, even though its 'booked' the church will be the most difficult.

I honestly have not had any problems with any vendors thus far. They've all been pretty easy. I guess the easiest would have to be our RH simply because they have always been available to answer any and all questions we've had, they just keep throwing stuff into our packages with a fight, and they really just seem to be there to make your day the best ever.
The toughest one (which was really tough, just nerve wracking) was the Church. To me, that's where it all happens and I was either just nervous they wouldn't have the date open or I was going to say the wrong thing and the priest wouldn't agree to marry us or just something would go wrong. In the end I was worried over nothing because it was super easy to book the date and the priest was very light hearted and sweet and I did everything over the phone.
Surprises would have been the amazing price we got on the DJ for all the stuff we wanted and the fact that our RH threw in a bunch of stuff free of charge (esp. the Chocolate Fountain - that shiz is expensive!).

Our vendors have been great so far - the easiest by far was the DJ. We went in there knowing what we wanted and they gave it all of it to us at our exact price point. There wasn't a lot of work that went into it so it was a no brainer.
The most difficult - if you even want to consider it difficult - is the church. There is just a lot to do - letters that are needed, certificates, pre cana. It's mostly b/c we are getting married in a church that isn';t our own parish. So there is a lot of leg work i guess and that's kind of frustrating.

I think the hardest for me was the RH just because I always felt like there was one more out there that I needed to see, just to be SURE that we were making the right choice. I am so indecisive on everything for this wedding!
The easiest so far was the DJ, he did my sisters wedding last year and was awesome, so we knew that we wanted him to do ours too. He's also a family friend, so that made it easier just to call him up and tell him the date.

Easiest vendor was my photog. As soon as I saw his pictures, I knew I wanted him. I made sure he was available when picking a date and an RH!
RH was difficult in that I had to do alot of research to find one that did one wedding at a time, had beautiful grounds, great reviews AND had a smaller minimum (100 people). Once I came upon De Seversky though, the decision to book was relatively easy.
Those are the only vendors I booked lol.
I think the hardest for me is going to be finding a dress I LOVE which isn't 8,000!

Hmmm...so far everyone has been pretty easy. We fell in love with the first RH we saw and only met with 2 photographers before we booked TP. I think the hardest vendor will be the DJ because the music is really important to me so I'm going to want to hear a few before I decide.

I think our easiest was the band...there was really only 1 that we came across that we loved and could afford. We went out for a great night of dancing to check them out. They turned out to be really nice guys and we had an awesome time dancing to them, so we booked them the next day.
I'm having a lot of trouble with hair and makeup...I just dont know much about it And since I'm upstate the idea of scheduling a bunch of trials is a bit overwhelming, especially since some websites say they won't do trials on the weekends. I just started looking though so hopefully that will come together soon.

FH and I always go with our gut instinct. All of our vendors came highly recomended and when we met them we knew we loved them from the start.
Actually no thats not entirely right our first photographer was a nightmare! This guy I put $100 to save the date (he was a friend of our best man) And the guy kept calling me at my job and asking me for a payment or I'm going to loose my date...um...What the hell did I leave the $100 for?? he wanted to be paid off before the wedding and I was totally was not okay with this guy after he told me that. I mean his work was beautiful dont get me wrong, but I didnt like his business tactics...it was terrible!
So we signed a contract with Patken and have been happy ever since. We're getting double what we were getting with that guy AND for 1/2 the price.

All of our planning so far has been easy and we are having fun with it all.. The registry was a little hard cause we dont know exactly what we will need.. We are still working on it haha! The easiest was Booking our Dj cause hes a close friend of mine and hes amazing!!!!! Other than that we are now trying to figure out what limos to use and what to do for our E-party

easiest was the photog - so far - but i think florists might top that once i go for my appointment. The hardest was the RH b/c FH and I couldn't decide on one b/c we both like different ones and we had to bring in family members for opinions - it was also hard cuz of the $$$ issue. but i'm glad that's done and over with!

The easiest vendor was probably my photographer. My hardest was probably the RH since I really loved 2 of them, but I love my RH and wouldn't change for anything

Hmmmmmm. Good question.
I feel like the church will be the most difficult. And, in the beginning, the RH was hard for me because I fell in love with every place we went to!! But then, the second we stepped into Giorgio's, FH and I knew we needed to find a way to make that place ours! haha
I was surpsrised how easily we booked DJ and Photog. We saw very few options before finding 'the ones'. I thought that would take alot longer, but I'm VERY happy it didn't.

Hmmm I've only booked a few things so far and they've all been pretty easy. We only looked at 1 RH, 1 videographer, and 2 photographers...I did a lot of research before so I knew what I was looking for.
I can't say that I've had anything 'hard' to do so far, so I guess I'm pretty lucky

The easiest was the DJ. I knew we wanted a non-traditional wedding Dj and ironically New York Magazine had an issue with all wedding vendors including non-traditional djs. After doing some research we picked one, met him and booked him.
I would say the hardest has been either the reception hall or the officiant. I called a million places trying to find one that could cater to a small wedding- some places said the minimum was ok, but then when I went to see the space i realized we would be swimming in the space. But since I booked there has been zero problems.
The officiant right now is giving me the biggest headache, mostly because it kills me to pay someone that much money to marry us- i wanted someone close to us to do it, but my mom is not having it, so now I am trying to find a compromise....

We've been very lucky as well that all of our vendors have been really easy to work with and to book.
I'd say the hardest for me at one point was the hair person. That took a lot of research and the person I wanted to work with wasn't returned emails or calls so I had to go with someone else. That person ended up being great, so it all worked out in the end.

My easiest vendor is my photographer. They are so easy to work with and do so much to make me happy. WE even changed our package without hesitation.
My worst vendor was the venue. We couldn't decide on what we wanted and when we finally chose, we weren't given all the information about pricing, minimums, etc. But everything worked out.

my photographer and my DJ
both FABULOUS!!!
Variety Music has literally been a PLEASURE to work with
and my photographer, wants to be informed of all the planning so he can help me get the best pictures.
i love both those vendors
THE WORST VENDOR was my original catering hall Roccos Catering in East rockaway
they were rude and greedy, I lost my deposit, but I'd rather that then dread my wedding day there are horror stories about them. stay away!!
but OH I love the new place i picked

They have all been easy. I went into the appointments knowing what I wanted. I mean we had a tough time deciding between our DJ but once we went to the 2nd DJ it was a def who we were going with for the day and let me tell you havent regreted our decision yet. I also limited the # of vendors of each I was going to see.

I have only booked the RH and church. The RH toke a little while because FH and I just couldnt decide lol But we are in love now and could not be happier with our decision!
I was so nervous about the church. I was afraid he was going to ask us a bunch of questions and yell at us if we answered them wrong. lol He was so nice though and we didnt get yelled at all! So it was just me with my stupid fears hahah
