Today's question:
What is your 'must have' thing for your reception?

Well obviously my must have is for everyone to have a wonderful time! For my cocktail hour I needed/wanted an ice sculpture with the initials CMC engraved. For my reception I needed/wanted a photobooth so it could work as my guest book too! I wanted to remember the faces with the writing in the guest book. So that is the perfect way!

GOLDDDD. (You have to say that in the Austin Powers' Goldmember voice)

Our room has gold tones and the bases of our centerpieces are gold, I'm going to make gold glitter table numbers. I LOVE gold! I want everything dripping in it.

Other than that:
-Photobooth.
-Our AMAZING DJ. They seriously make or break the party.
-Viennese Hour. We're European, we need a lot of food. And by a lot, I mean enough for us and another wedding.

My TREELIMB CENTERPIECE..and autumn leaves down the aisle instead of flower petals!!
We tried to get all centerpieces to be autumn tree limbs, but it was too expensive. We got 1 tree limb for the card table...and definitely got those autumn leaves for the aisle!

Lots and lots of candles. We're doing a Great Gatsby theme and I want lots of candles everywhere to give the room that vintage sexy feel!

For our cocktail hour, I had my heart set on a mashed potato martini bar and we're doing that, so I am stoked.

For the reception, I wanted top shelf liquor and a great bartender...the RH said no problem to 95% of the alcohol brands we named (I'm bringing a bottle of Crown Royal for the groom) and we met an awesome bartender at one of the RH's mixers, so we're requesting him for our wedding...check and check!

My 'must haves' for the reception were a place to go outside and enjoy a water view and a band. I got both!

Our MUST HAVEs were a RH that represented a cozy, homey feel which ours does along with fantastic food & an excellent dj & photographer.

I must have GOOD MUSIC!! I REALLY want some live music but it is SO out of our price range! But we're still trying.. I know our DJ will do a great job though because our families loveeee to dance!!

Must for me is a good Ambiance (candels/music/decor)
For FH it was a photbooth. We're getting both (hopefully) so I'm excited!

I must have a great DJ, good food and candles all over! It would be such a nice romantic feel!

Some sort of seafood, an amazing DJ who is able to get everyone up on the dance floor the whole night, and good sturdy chairs. I'm Jewish so we dance the hora and lift the chairs up and I don't want to feel like I'm going to come crashing down when I'm five feet up in the air.

I love fireplaces, and the fact that my venue has two makes me really happy. I also want lots of candles, since I'm not using floral centerpieces or uplighting. A lot of our family and close friends love mashed potato, so we made sure we got a mashed potato martini bar.

My MUST HAVES were a venue that did one wedding at a time and a TON of good food! I got both so I'm one happy bride!

One wedding at a time was important to my parents. I wasnt concerned but we ended up with a venue with one wedding at a time. Food is important obviously, as well as a band that could play mix of Italian and American music. We hired a band and added an Italian singer.
