Fh and I are both hugeee mutts! I don't anticipate any cultural differences really. I do love that his g-ma is second gen. Italian and makes a meannnn gravy!!
I freakin LOVE that you just said gravy.. i fight with FH about this all the time!!!!!!!!!!!!!
my fam says gravy, his say sauce- so that might be a problem when we have kids.. they are not going to know if theyre having macaroni or turkey LOL
We haven't had any problems mixing our families. WE were both open to learning each others religions, so that wasn't an issue. I know Spanish so its fun to talk about him to his mom and family since he doesn't speak Spanish.

I'm a mutt (Italian, German, Scottish, Polish) and FH is Irish. We don't have differences within our families. Our families are not religious but we were both raised Catholic.
I lucked out I guess!

This is hilarious!!! In my family my Dad's side says Gravy and my mom's side says sauce. FH was so confused when he went to dinner for the first time at each place.
As for us: Me: Italian FH: Scottish/German
Neither one of us is religious so that we have no issues on. His family doesn't really have any traditions so he has just melted into ours. He's happy cause the food is always good.

FH and I are both mainly Polish. My father is a 100% and his father I believe is too. His mother is 100% Ukranian. My mom is czech and German. I don't see any problems arising since we pretty much are the same nationality and we celebrate the same holidays. So no no issues should be arising

Me: Italian/Catholic FH: German/Italian/Lutheran
We don't anticipate any issues with our nationalities. As for our religion, I am not super religious at all and FH's family is- his dad is a Lutheran minister. So we will raise our children as Lutherans- even though there isn't a huge difference between that and Catholicism.

FH none/ Irish Me: Methodist Welsh/Norwegian you could throw some white trash in there too like OP along with some other things.
the only issue i thought we might have had was getting married in a church. FHs family goes to church although FH doesn't really have beliefs so he didn't want to any way ... neither of us made confirmation.

me: African American / Jamacian (my dad's Jamacian but I'm a bit distant from his side of the family outside of a coupld of relatives so the Jamacian side of me isnt really a big thing)
FH: Puerto Rican
For the most part, both sides get along great and we dont really have any conflicts or culture clashes. I love my FH's grandmother and she talks to me in spanglish and I understand (half understand) everything she says. We both had to get used to each other different cooking traditions..Sundays at my mom's house is usually fried chicken, macroni and cheese and green beans (haha) and his moms house is rice and bean, with chicken or pork usually. Every once in a while we have funny differences like me tryingt o dance Salsa at family parties and my FH trying to do the electric slide (hahahhaha).
His parents are Catholic and my mom is Baptist but like we said, as long as we all believe in God its all good.
I'm just glad we live in a world where all cultures can get married and still make a beautiful family!

Me: 100% Haitian Fh: 100% Bajan
I was raised Catholic and Fh was raised as a 7 day adventist. But, neither of us are very religious, so it all works out.

he is Italian and Polish.
I am Italian (Sicilian which he likes to make fun of hehe), Austrian, German, Czech mostly with other little things mixed in. I was raised in an Italian household since my 100% Italian grandfather lived with us also, but i am a true mutt. not 1st or 2nd generation.
no culture clashes at all.
i started to eat a lot more pork due to his polish side and now loveeeee it. never had porkchops or keibasa before him!

ooooh boyyy welll.....
I am italian and the hubby is ecuadorian.
We agree on a lot of things and religion isn't a problem b.c we are both catholic and not very religious.
The only issue is the lateness with his family. They ARE always late too everything. You have to ask 4358923457289times for something and they are the hardest ppl to plan things with.
I am sooo paranoid they are going to come late to the wedding. I will scream turn into the bridezilla QUEEN!!
Other then that I love them and their cooking soo yummy!!
Holidays are easy since we do christmas eve with my fam and at midnight we go there say merry christmas trade presents and go home. We go back on christmas day for a little while.
Easter is with my family( they don't celebrate it) they do good friday.
