I would really like two things. The first would be sentimental. My sister re-recorded her wedding song with her singing it (my FH played the guitar and recorded it for her!) and surprised her DH with it on their wedding day. I hope FH thinks to do this for our wedding song, whatever we pick. Since he's a musician, I'd like his creative genius to play with the construction and make it his own with his band and my sister singing. I think that would be really nice and thoughtful.
If that doesn't happen, I would like a piece of his grandmother's jewelry. I know his mom has a CRAPLOAD of jewelry sitting in a safe. What better way to welcome me into the family than by giving me one of the pieces to wear. He'll have to convince his mom and that would mean a lot to me. My ering was his grandma's, so I already have one piece of her jewelry to start out our lives (two if you count my cradle) and one more for the start of our marriage would be sentimental and nice...especially if it was the same piece his grandpa gave her on their wedding day!

I have noooo idea what I want. He's asked me, I just don't know! I can't think of anything! I know he wants a watch, but he's being promoted to detective in October, so I was thinking of just giving him the watch then, and just doing something more sentimental like writing each other letters to read the morning of. I don't really NEED anything

Oh wow! My e-ring was his grandmother's too! I love it for that reason alone. I cried when he told me it was hers... I'm really close with her.

We have spoken about this before and I have put lots of thought on what I will get him. So I hope FH gets me something from the heart, something that is sentimental that actually means something and not something he thought of in the last minute.
Really I am secretly hoping for an Ering upgrade LOL

FH & I aren't exchanging wedding gifts. we are buying each others wedding bands so i guess that will be the gift.
to be honest i never knew about purchasing each other gifts until i started chatting on liw. no one in my family or friends have done this.
Same here. I'd like him to write me a letter or something for that morning, but I'm definitely not expecting a gift--we're paying for everything ourselves, so it's like the whole wedding is our gift to each other!
I love the idea of a letter on the day of, that would be the prefect present.

Hmmmm.... when I went to pick up his wedding band today I saw this gorgeous braclet that I could definitely wear the day of the wedding... Maybe something like that... he's usually pretty good with the gift giving. He is probably the first man I have ever been with that listens retains and remembers things that I tell him. I was shocked at some of the stuff he got mr for Xmas... stuff I had just mentioned once or twice... so I definitely don't want to tell him what to get me but at the same time I would like it to be something I could wear for or incorporate into the wedding.

One of the things we want to do on our honeymoon is swim with the dolphins. We decided that that would be our gift to each other and then we would have a picture taken of it so we coud always have the memory!
