I was thinking about all of our music choices last night for our band and started thinking how amazing it would be if we were able to choose one artist to come perform at the wedding.
Today's question is:
If you can have any artist perform just one song at your wedding (either present day or even deceased) who would it be and what song?
This was a hard one for me to answer. After careful consideration I have chosen Elliott Smith to sing our wedding song (Between the Bars)!

I actually looked into this. FH loves this band called The Clarks. (They're big in Pittsburgh). I contacted their manager but for $12500 to perform 5 songs it definitely wasn't worth it. They're really not THAT good.

This is an easy one for me...I am Bon Jovi obsessed...have been for 25 years!!! Yes I am that old! I would without question have them play at the wedding...choosing the song would be harder. I guess I would choose our wedding song Thank You for Loving Me. Although it is highly unlikely that I would let them leave and wind up spending my wedding night in jail for illegal imprisonment!

This is easy for me to answer! As a HUGE Springsteen fan it would definately be Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band.

Easy! I bet no one would be surprised that I'd want Pearl Jam there to play the song I'm walking down the aisle to!

ETA-OOPS! I forgot to add the song!
I would want them to play all night but if its only 1 song it has to be Rosalita!
ETA Again- After 14,000 + posts I still dont know the correct way to ETA!

Hands down I'd have Queen come and sing our first dance song live.

Would you allow Freddie Mercury to wear his famous white pants, though? He would probably know better, that it's a major faux pas...but would you have a tantrum if he showed up in white?

WOW, I was JUST thinking about this on the way to work this morning!
I used to say, if I could have Johnny Rzeznik (from the Goo Goo Dolls) sing at my wedding or Nick Hexum and P-Nut (from 311) I would be a very happy girl. Then this morning, I was listening to the new Against me! cd and I thought, 'Hmm, this guy Tom has an awesome voice, maybe I'd like HIM to sing at my wedding!'
But really, I guess if I could have anyone, dead of alive, it would be between a young Dion DiMucci (Dion and the Belmonts) or a young Bobby Darin.
