HAPPY JULY - There are going to be a lot of brides hitting their year mark this month, including me!
Is there someone that you wish could be at your wedding?
I wish my “gram” (my grandma) could be at our wedding more then anything. She passed away 2 years ago and I think about here everyday – I am going to be wearing her engagement ring and wedding band on my right hand as my something old – I know that she will be looking over me that day!

I was just thinking the other day how this would make a great question, and here u are asking it! ha!
I would love my grandparents to be there. unfortunately b/c they're too old and sick they won't be able to fly in from Israel. And 1 of my gramas has passed away when I was 13 which was very very traumatic to me. Also I would love to have all of my friends from back home. All of them are my REAL friends, something I wasn't able to achieve here (my only real true friend is FH - a bit pathetic LOL). these friends I keep in touch with all the time and know exactly whats going on with them and they with me on a daily basis, eventho I've been living here for the past 5 yrs. Now, it's possible that even my MOH won't be able to come
ETA: forgot to add for FH: his father who has passed away 9 years ago

We've had alot of deaths in the past few years (Grandma, 2 Aunts, cousin), I wish they could be there. I also wish my Grandpa (who I never met) could be there, I heard he was the life of the party!
But we are doing a tribute to all of them at the wedding

i wish my grandparents would be there. moms parents & dads parents all of whom have passed away. i also wish my friend from high school could of been there, she passed away a couple of years ago.
FH wishes his grandfather could be there, his moms dad who passed away.
& we both wish FHs father would be there. out of everyone who has passed away, its the hardest to realize that he wont be there.

Re: QOTD 7.1.2009!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My grandmother and FH's mother. My grandma lived with me my whole life and moved away with my aunt to Florida just 2 1/2 weeks before she died. We went to Florida 2 weeks later to celebrate my 16th birthday and to visit them in their new house - we spoke for the last time on my birthday, but she passed away 2 days later on the day we were supposed to see her. FH's mother died when he was 16 as well - he's 23 now and going through an adult adoption with his friend's family that took him in, and while I love his family, I still always wish I could have met his mother and I wish she could have seen how great he turned out to be, even after all of the horrible things that happened to him.

My grandfather...he passed away at the age of 99 just 4 days after I started dating FH, and therefore never even knew of FH. He was always asking when I would get married and how come I hadn't found the right guy yet.
Well Paw-paw (what I called him) you will be happy to know that I finally did. Wish you could be here...

Today is my 1 yr mark I wish my grand parents could be at my wedding as well. I was raised by them and I have a stronger bond with them. My grandma passed away a couple years ago on my bday and my grandpa passed away a couple yrs before her. I would have done anything to have them here.
