I met FH at a party. It sounds a little corny, but I knew the second I saw him that I wanted to get to know him. He caught my eye right as I walked in to the party. He was in the backyard laughing with his friends. I loved his smile and felt a connection right away. The more we dated, the more I knew he was the one. He does so many sweet things. For me, I knew right away and he continues to prove me right.

This may sound weird, but I don't really believe in 'The One' stuff. When I met FH, I liked him a lot and loved spending time with him. As time went on, we grew to love each other. At some point, I realized that no one else would make me happy like he did. I met a lot of other people at school and various jobs and no one even came close to making me feel the way he does. Even now, after more than 10.5 years together, I still look at him and can't believe we as happy as we are. Oh we definitely fight A LOT, but the good times are really good!!! It makes up for the fighting (usually ) I'm not going to sit here and preach that we're perfect, we're certainly not and sometimes I wonder what life would be like without him, but then I'm like, Yeah, it might really scuk!

I was dating one of his friends at the time. (whoops) We met at a group dinner. I knew immediately.

When I first met FH we hung out a few times over the course of 3 weeks and then he was going to be away for a month (he traveled for work). While he was away we talked/emailed/texted every second of the day and by the time he got back I knew he was the guy I wanted to marry.
