my last name is easy to pronounce and spell, FH's name is italian and much more difficult, so it w/b an adjustment. I would have kept both last names b/c of my son but he doesnt have last name anyway.

I'm very excited to take my FH's irish name..and the best part is because we want to name our first son Shane Patrick....our poor son is going to be the most irish irish boy

I have a color for a last name. No one ever knows what the hell nationality I am, but believe it or not, it is a VERY Irish last name.

I'm hyphenating. I'll be getting an Italian last name and I still want to keep my name in there so people still ask me where I'm from!!!

I always tease FH about this. For some STRANGE reason when I was gowing up I always wanted my last name to be Rivera..lolz I just love how Christy Rivera sounds...and oddly enough, FH's mother's side are Riveras...but its not his last name, but I always tease him that I'm going to change my name to that instead. I'll still get the R though..I'm changing froma very italian 10letter name to a shorter spanish 6 letter name...

I am going to hyphenate my name...I really want my maiden name on my diploma and I will not get my PhD until two years after we are married. It is still going to be a little strange to have a 'new' name-I tried to convince FH that we should both take the hyphenated version but he did not go for it!

I am hyphenating.... I just dont want to give up my last name...but being a teacher I will be referred to with his last name

I will go by his last name and make my current last name part of my middle name.

im doing it, but aganist my will lol...only to make FH happy, i wanted to keep mine or hypenate, my last name is very italian but very uncommon italian, and his is veryyyyyyy common hispanic, and i love my last name so im sad to see it go

I CANT WAIT. There is a curse that comes with my last name (Sounds crazy I know but its true) so I can not wait lol

Its going to be strange but I cannot wait to take FH's last name - its my one traditional aspect of the wedding I can't wait to take part in

I can't wait to change my super common last name. My FH has such an Italian last name. Can't wait. I am sure when I finally have my name legally changed I will be sad.
