Good Morning Beautiful Brides!! So excited to be your new BOTW Thank You!!! I have been trying to think of some good questions and if I repeat any questions already asked by a previous BOTW I apologize!
Without further delay here is your question:
Is there anything about your wedding that you chose because it means something to you or reminds you of someone special in your life or maybe someone that you may have lost?
I picked my wedding gown not only because I LOVE it, but because the back of it has lace and it reminds me of Spain (where my mother is from) I am also having butterflies somehow incorporated into my wedding maybe on the cake because my Great Grandma (Nanny) loved butterflies and so do I, and she is no longer with us. I also lost my godmother a few years ago and I miss her so much. I haven't figured it out yet, but I want to do something for her at my wedding too.

my colors are pink and green b/c my fav color is pink and my grandma's fav color was green and she passed 5 years ago and was the world to me!

Yes, my FH aunts are going to be singing 'One Hand, One Heart' from West Side Story because it was sung at my parents' wedding. It's a surprise for my parents.

I lost my grandmother to Colon cancer in 2001 and my grandfather to lymphoma in 2004 and my uncle in Feb to melanoma. These were all important ppl in my live and not having them at the wedding is really hard. I am trying to figure out ways to incorporate them into my wedding. I am using my grandmothers blues rosary beads she held with her throughout her sickness that she passed to me before she died in my BoK. Me and my uncle were both crazzzy zombie fans(he is only 12years older then me) soo I want to incorporate something zombish into my wedding for him. I am not sure what yet and since my wedding is the weekend after halloween I think it would work. My grandfather I am not sure what to do yet.

Hmmm...I hadn't really thought of it! We are honoring our loved ones that have passed (though pictures, candles, etc.), but I'm not sure if anything I booked had to do with them in particular.

i was thinking of playing our parents wedding songs but um...they both kinda suck lol.
and I'm going to get a bo-k charm w my grandpa's pic.

The church we chose to get married in is actually where my parents were married 27 years ago. I always knew I wanted to get married there. It actually turned out that both FH and I were baptized there!
I also was thinking about doing something with two butterflies somewhere for both of my grandfathers because whenever I see one, I think of them. We also will do something for FH's grandparents, but haven't decided yet.

I may incorporate pictures of fh's parent's and my parents on their wedding day but I don't know where.
I wanted to do Tulips as centerpieces since they are my mom's favorite flower but not sure of that either.
Basically, I haven't made any decisions lol

The diamond in my engagement ring....it belonged to my Great grandmother.
btw....i think it's so totally cool we were both picked for BOTW!!!!!!!

There are a lot of little touches here and there...pretty much the entire wedding has meaning. But the one that is most predominant is my main color: purple. My grandpa passed away this past October and his favorite color was purple. I always thought that was so cute.

My date is my deceased Grandma's birthday and it's 2 days after FH's Grandma passed away.
I swear, my Grandma led me to that date, so I had to have it.
We're doing a slideshow to honor our grandparents who have all passed.

The church we are getting married in - my grandparents, both sets of my aunts and uncles, my parents and numerous other extended family members have gotten married in this church.
My grandma (who im named after and died in 1954) used to attend this church soon after she came here from Italy so it has a lot of meaning. Knowing I will be walking down the same aisle as they all did.

The one thing that comes to mind is the church. I was baptized there, made my communion and confirmation there. I went to the school right next door from Kindergarten to 8th grade and now I am back there as a teacher. My mom is also the cafeteria manager for the school as well as working in the rectory so it was a no brainer when it came to the church I would be married in.

We chose blue as a main color since we both love it. The dinner singer is our gift to our grandmas ( I wish grandpa was going to be there because he would have LOVED IT) because of everything they have done for us.
