Hey all! Today is SUPER busy at work so I'm sorry I couldn't get this out sooner.
My FH (and my own curiosity) was the inspiration for today's question...
How much involvement does FH have in your planning process?! Does he have an opinion about everything...or nothing at all? Basically...does your FH have groomzilla tendencies, or is he a 'show up the day of with a smile' kind of groom?

FH is more involved then I thought he would be since he is so laid back
He talks things out with me and is actually really excited about everything except the cake LOL

FH is involved with every decision because we think this is a process we are supposed to share together... but he hasn't hit groomzilla status... yet lol

FH and I have similar taste, so what usually ends up happening is i suggest something and hes like 'yea! thats awesome!!' Haha, but he wants to know what we are doing, I don't think he wants to just show up.

He is very involved!! He says he would make all the decisions since I'M SOOO INDECISIVE... Of course I want a say but I'm not really into planning all these things. I like the whole reception hall planning, and the fun stuff - but making appointments for photogs,dj,limo, hotel blocking can be his thing. I'm all about the colors, centerpieces, favors, bm's dresses and all that stuff...

this is how my FH is also - he def wants a say, but I'm the one doing all the research and then he picks from what I've narrowed down....so far he's been to all the appts with me and I even think he'll go to the florist since we were talking about it one day and he's like 'ooo that'll be exciting bc then u can start to see everything come together'. He's a perfectionist and very detail-oriented and I'm really glad that he shows an interest even in the little things, but he's not a groomzilla; he knows that I've been dreaming about this forever and realizes that I'm putting more work into it than he is, so if we disagree, he'll usually let me get my way

Re: QOTD 7/6/10
I think my FH is a huge groomzilla but he disagrees lol. The biggest thing was our visions for our wedding...I wanted a small ceremony on the beach followed by a small party with just immediate family and close friends. He wanted a church ceremony and a huge reception. He won.
As for vendors, I've done all the research and decided who we were going to meet with. After the meetings we both decided on who to book.
So far I've been told that we can't have the really tall centerpieces because he doesn't like them, we absolutely HAVE to have an outdoor cocktail hour, and chair covers are too expensive! He also wants a venetian hour and a photo montage of us through the years!!! The photo montage got cut because we can't afford it and I'm getting my damn chair covers because my grandma felt bad for me and said that would be our wedding gift from her! LOL

My FH is definatly very involved in the wedding planning. Sometimes he is a little more involved than i would like... but then again i guess its good because it is his day too and i want him to love every thing about it....
but then again, he knows what i say goes with this wedding.. i have full veto power on all his desicions... even though i dont really deny the things he wants, but just knowing i can if i want makes it easier...
Its definatly taking a lot of the pressure off me to make sure the day will be perfect!.. and i love the fact that he is involved

Fh is not really interested in planning this wedding. All he wanted to come and see was the limos and he obviously has to be there for the tuxes. Hes a more show up the day of with a smile!

Re: QOTD 7/6/10
FH is way more opinionated than me. I am the one who is like 'whatever, just tell me when and where to be'. He chose the RH, colors, etc. I am just going with the flow! So I guess he's a little bit groomzilla!

Re: QOTD 7/6/10
Well....FH seems to think hes letting me 'run with this wedding' and doing whatever I want meanwhile hes pretty much gotten what hes wanted the whole time hahahaha. He wanted a vineyard wedding, we're having our reception at VC(which i love too now)...he wanted to get married in a church, we're getting married in a church....he said he didnt care about decor, then suddenly wanted a whole vineyard theme, we're doing a vineyard theme....he wanted 'tangled up in you' to be our wedding song, its our wedding song hahahaha...but definitely all the decisions have been mine hahah. At least hes involved!!

Re: QOTD 7/6/10
my FH is completely uninvolved and it drives me nuts!! i don't need him to help with everything, but it would be nice if he asked questions or knew what i was planning so that way he isn't just a 'guest' at the wedding
even more annoying is when his friends make comments about our wedding like the garter toss and i say we aren't doing that he flips out that he didn't help make that decision but then doesn't help when i ask for his opinions

Re: QOTD 7/6/10
My FH is involved with everything. I love that he is though because this day is about both of us and he should help plan it and get what he wants. I had a friend that got married last year and she mentioned to me not to evenb bring FH to appts that he won't want to go....not my FH. Sometimes he complains if he has to rush home from work and go but overall he doesn't have to many groomzilla moments. Lol

My FH is not really involved in the planning process. He actually told me, all he wants to do is show up. I don't fight it, because when he does get involved, we disagree on alot of things. It's much easier for me to just plan everything with my sister.

Re: QOTD 7/6/10
My FH is totally involved in all of the planning. He's a pretty typical man's man, so I totally expected him to not care or be involved at all. I was so wrong! I love how much he cares and how into planning he is. Just this morning he was doing research on different honeymoon locations/packages.

nothing at all, unless it involves money, and i resolve that issue by offering to pay for it myself (which he knows better then to let me do) LOL

Mine's a complete groomilla. he makes lists of questions (stupid ones) and has the most insane ideas like having a yellow camaro in the ballroom and the transformers theme song playing.
hes impossible. someone save me!

FH doesn't research anything himself but has an opinion on everything . He's pretty agreeable though which works in my favor

Re: QOTD 7/6/10
my FH is very involved, but not annoyingly so. he has some great ideas and input and since he is paying for half, i think he should. i like that he is as involved as he is. with the big things anyway, he could care less about some stuff, like flowers and invites.
