Well I never believed it but in these past few weeks I realized that the saying is true, “You don’t really know someone until you’ve lived with them”. I thought that being together for 9 years would have taught us all we need to know but amazingly we’re still learning new things about each other…..
So, what I want to know from you is, are you and FH two peas in a pod or complete opposites?
FH and are complete opposites in so many ways but I think it works because we balance each other out. At the same time, we value the same things in life like spending lots of our time with family and friends which helps to keep us connected.

I am with FH for more than 9 years too and I'm always learning things about him that I never knew... Some great and some kind of annoying!
I know that he has learned from me because his grammar is sooooo much better than when I met him and I like to think I'm a little more business savvy because of what he has taught me. Grammar and Buiness... Yeah, I'd say we're pretty much opposites!
It seems like we're both guitly of the same bad things too which is pretty funny. We're both horribly stubborn and it's SO HARD for either of us to admit we're wrong about anything. He's so good at arguing his point that I feel like I'm wrong A LOT more than he is... GRRRR!
We're great together though and I completely agree that we complement each other (even though we fight like crazy sometimes!).

Big things we have in common..common goals in life, etc.
But as for little things, we are opposites in alot of ways.

We're very much opposite with the smaller things in life, but our overall goals and aspirations are on the same kind of track. We handle things in different ways. For example, poor customer service - I will ALWAYS speak up and get a result (and if I don't, my parting words to the establishment will be a very loud '...AND I WILL NEVER SPEND MY MONEY HERE AGAIN, NOR WILL ANY OF MY FRIENDS OR FAMILY!!!!') while he's much more calm about things and sometimes won't speak up. We balance each other out that way.
With the bigger decisions in life, like children, purchasing a home, where to live, etc. - we're definitely two peas in a pod. One large area where we're different is religion and politics. We're of two different faiths and don't always see eye-to-eye politically. But that's what keeps things interesting!

Good question... I think me and FH balance eachother out very well. We have similar good qualities and very opposite bad qualities, so we never feed into eachother. For example, I could be very mean with my words and when I start to say something, he stops me in my tracks...it's good...

We have enough in common to get along and enough opposite to keep it interesting. We just mesh very well with each other overall.

We are a combination. We can agree on the simplest of things and then differ in the largest of ways as well. I think it is a good balance. This way we can sometimes predict how one will react but then also be surprised as well at other times.
Luckily we agree on most of the biggie's... like how we want to raise our kids, when we would like to have them) places we want to live... The biggie's we are (for the most part) on the same page about.

we are 2 peas in a pod for the most part. we have many similarities.
however our biggest difference is that i am a neat freak & FH is not, but he likes things to be neat.
a couple of years ago a friend ask how come our relationship works so well & another friend replied with, only Christine can put up with Chris & only Chris can put up with Christine. it is so beyond true that its not even funny.

FH and I are pretty much the same... libving together won't be that hard however he likes to have everything done for him because his mother still babies him so it is something we both need to get use to. He needs to start getting his own underwear and socks ready when he takes a shower bc unlike FMIL, i will not be doing that... well i hope i wont be
We are very different, especially personality wise. We also like to do different things.
We do have the same goals and wants in life though, which is good and important!

we are different in some ways but have a lot of things in common also.
we are both very ambitious and have similar life goals. we also both enjoy a lot of the same activities and things to do.
we are different in that fh is much more laid back and easy going where as i am a planner and very organized and a worrier. FH is also crazy outgoing...everyone he meets he talks to like they have been friends for years. I wish I was more like that but I take a little longer to warm up to people. I think we balance each other out nicely though.

A bit of both! Being that we've lived together for almost our entire relationship, its not surprising that we have taken on certain habits of the other one... we are both very into sports and theirs either hockey, baseball or football on the tv... (my sister is annoyed that I dont watch regular tv, except for NCIS) but we are still pretty different in terms of personality... for example: i would rather stay home and watch a movie, he would rather be out doing something... we definitely comprimise a lot!!!

Erin - congrats again!!
I think overall we have a lot in common. we like to have fun and laugh and get along and love spending time with our nieces and seeing new things.
but we do differ on a lot of things too. im sure moving in will be a BIG LEARNING EXPERIENCE........im a little nervous about that to be honest

FH and I are opposites in several differnt ways ex. Im high strung type A he is relaxed type B personality...we keep each other balanced. Our two peas in a pod list is much longer then our opposite list.

HA! We talk about this all the time........
With the major things in life, such as goals and family life and what we want for our future, we are very similar and we are on the same page.....as far as the minor things, we are complete opposite....lol
He is very laid back and he calls me a tight arse....I am more book smart and he is more common sense smart..... He has taught me a lot and vice versa.....
He handles difficult situations with a calm and laid back approach while I freak out and let things bother me....
We love the same things in life such as water sports, being outdoors, skiing, hanging out with our families, hosting parties, etc.....
We truly compliment each other and thats why we get along so well....and thats why we will be
