QOTD! 8/20/14
I plan to put together my own centerpieces, which will then become the favors that guests will take home (succulents in a tin pan or just wrapped in burlap.) I am also saving tin cans and wine bottles to utilize as part of my centerpieces; I will be wrapping them in burlap and lace and creating my table numbers from the wine bottles as well.
I am also on the hunt for window shutters or window panes to utilize in my ceremony, to create backdrop behind FH and I (the space for our ceremony is very plain.)
I also plan to make my seating chart (we'll see, I may have found a solution on this.)

My biggest project is the favors - I am making candles in mason jars. I am also making all the signage, arranging the centerpieces and doing the invitations (with some help). I'm sure I'll volunteer myself for more

I love your ideas! If you have time to travel to some antique shops upstate you will definitely find some cheap shutters & windows - or - If you haven't already, check out Barntique in Moriches!

I saw a place in Bayport called Country Junque that I may check out. They apparently have a side yard with things like that.
Thank you for the suggestion, I've been desperately trying to find a place that has these things!

Oh I am all over those! I look up estate sales too, sometimes there are some great items at those. I also scour Craigslist and Freecycle. I just missed out on some window panes on Freecycle, sigh...
