1. The best meal I ever had...that is tough. The meal I remember most is the first time I went to Luger's with my family. I had been vegetarian for almost 6 years, so I wasn't going to have any steak. But I did--and it was delicious! And the pecan pie with homemade whipped cream for dessert just put it over the top. A close second would be my mom's pot roast with garlic mashed potatoes and gravy with creamed spinach. Seriously, I would choose that for my last meal if I was on death row!
2. My comfort food is pizza--specifically from Rosa's in Maspeth. If I'm having a bad day, I will drive down to Queens for a slice of their Sicilian. I'm a big fan of bread and cheese in all their delicious combinations!
When I'm sick, I eat toast and drink a lot of tea with honey and lemon.
3. If I could eat only one thing for the rest of my life, it would be pasta--either mac 'n cheese or homemade cavatelli with fresh tomato & basil sauce and a dollop of ricotta. But, I'd be buried in a piano box for sure!
