Good morning ladies!

Are you inviting children to your wedding? If no, has anyone gotten upset over that? If yes, what is the cut off age for half price or free at your RH?

We are having children at our wedding since it will not look right if we allow close family to bring kids but not our friends and relatives. We are drawing the line at our parent's cousin's kids and our 2nd cousins though, otherwise, it would just be too much! Plus, we are not that close with the distant relatives anyway, so they will not get upset. Our RH allows kids up to age 6 for half price & under 2 years is free.
Augh I hate these politics of invitations!

Enjoy your day ladies!

The only kids who will be at my wedding are the FG and RB. If it wasn't that the FG was FH daughter, there would be no kids at all. I don't want a bunch of kids running around acting up or going crazy like they are at a playground. The ppl we have told so far understand. Those who might not, oh well too bad lol

We are only inviting the children who are in the wedding party. After that it's age 16 and over. Luckily I don't think we really have anyone in between the ages of 8 and 16 anyway, so it's just all the little ones who aren't getting invited. I hope no one is offended but lately I've been to a lot of weddings that do this, so if they are then they will get over it.

No one in our family really has young kids so we are not inviting children.

We are inviting children to our wedding. I love kids! I come from a big Italian family and weddings have always been a huge family celebration! At my venue, kids under 5 are free and children 5-12 are half price.

The only children invited are my three first cousins who are 11(twins) and 13 years old. Nobody else's kids were invited and I'm sure everyone is happy to get a night out without them.

We aren't having kids at our wedding. I'm a firm believer in if the parents are watching their kids, they aren't having fun - and if they aren't watching them, no one else is having fun because they are running around crazy. My MOH has 4 children, but she knew how I felt about kids at weddings before I got engaged, so nothing was said.

only the FGs & RBs !
our cutoff is 18 yo otherwise. kind of awkward as we may invite one cousin and not another but rules are rules!
i forget what our cutoff is for 1/2 price but i think it's like 10?

In my immediate family we have 10 kids (my nieces and nephews) and we're very close so they will all be there and 4 of them will be in the wedding as flower girls and ring bearer. We are allowing our out-of-state family and friends to bring their little ones only because they'll have to stay overnight and it will be a lot to ask them to get babysitters for overnight. The family that lives on Long Island will be able to go home that night so they can get babysitters.

I really didn't want any kids other than my immediate family but my mom convinced me that i had to lol. i don't really mind because there will be so many there anyway.

I dont remember the cutoff for the venue..both FH & I have kids so they are invited (lol), our nieces and nephews are invited and then if any of out OOT guests have children they will be invited. It's all about being prepared for kids and as mom I get it so I always make little 'prep bags' they include a travel game and beleive it or not with all the tech devices these cheap games are always a hit, then I include crayons and paper/colorbook and I am making a wedding activity book, a tic tac toe book and a hangman book...for the kids I am also including a disposal camera that will have their names on it and asking them to try and capture certain moments so they feel involved.

Unfortunately I have to have my niece and nephew there. I know that prolly sounds terrible but it annoys me, my niece I can see bc she will be in the wedding party and is a little older. My nephew isn't and even though my sis in law's parents offered to watch him, she declined the offer bc 'he thinks Grandma's is scary'. He is not the most well behaved boy and I am nervous about the situation but trying to remain calm.

We will be having children.

Fh's half-sister is our Flowerigirl, she'll be just shy of turning 6. We have many close friends who's young children - age 3,4 - know us well. Family is extremely important to FH so he wants to make sure they are welcome if the parents want to bring them (if not, by all means get a babysittter).

Ultimately, there will be 12 children invited. I expect most will not be coming due to distance to travel with a child.

Our RH says children under 6 are free. children under 12 are half price. All of the 12 children are under 12.

We will be having children at our wedding. My daughter, god daughter and two little cousins will be in the bridal party and we have other family members bringing their children. We are a close knit family so I couldn't imagine them not being there.

Our reception hall charges half price for kids between 5-10 and free for under 5.

I like the idea of the disposable cameras for the kids!

We are inviting children, but not all. Since most of our guests are coming from CT and NH, local guests' children are not invited - they can easily get a babysitter. Our hall does first five under 5 for free, then all children 5-12 are half price. Thinking of getting a large bubble wand for my BIL to play with all the kids outside.

The only children that will be at our wedding are the JBMs (ages 12 & 13), JGM (age 13) and FG (age 7). Our friends have children but they aren't invited and our friends appreciate a night out without the kids. I'm the first to get married in over ten years in my family so there aren't any kids younger than 10.

We are inviting kids, and I believe under 12 eats free over the minimum. When I was younger, my cousin didn't invite me to their wedding, and my parents couldn't go because it, so it created a big rift in the family. I'm trying to avoid that lol.

There are only three children coming to my wedding: my 13 year-old junior bridesmaid, my six year-old flower girl, and my 13 year-old cousin (she is my only first cousin).

To my knowledge, no one has gotten upset about other children not being invited.

NO children lol, the one thing I am firm about! so far we've had one relative assume children were invited but we cleared that up quickly! not sure how she felt about it... the youngest people will be some 1st cousins that are 17/18 yrs old.
