****QOTD 8/7/11*****

this week has been alot of fun -especially trying to explain to my dad what bride of the week is lol... He thought I won some huge competition hahahaha

I am super excited to meet a bunch of you at Mara's tomorrow afternoon!

I was very inspired by the responses to my last question and one comment stood out to me in particular - so today's QOTD is:

Do you find it more difficult now to relate to your single girlfriends?

I find it extremely hard! My friends are at the point in their lives where I was 4 years ago - considering a good time to go out to bars to meet men. I find it more difficult to relate to the talk about shi*ty men, when I know how women deserve to be treated. I think the hardest thing for me, is knowing how it feels to be loved, and having to watch my single friends struggle to get the attention of A-Holes who treat them like dirt.

Yes! I actually only have one single female friend. All she wants to do is party, drink, and pick up guys. It's like she never left her college phase. Everyone one else I know is in a relationship. All my closest friends are going through similar life changes all at the same time so we relate well to each other.

Yes!!! I feel like people treat me differently since I'm engaged now. This is esp true for those who like never had a serious relationship

No not really. Even my friends who are single are at the point where they want to find someone to settle down with. Most of my close gf's are in relationships though.

Not really....I can still remember what it was like for me so I can still sympathize. There are a few that I shake my head and say 'what is she thinking?' but I did that when I was single too.

I haven't had this problem, but I move a lot so a lot of my friendships are long distance. Where I was just living in Washington, all of my friends were older, so I kind of snapped out of that college phase really fast. When I go back home they're still partyiers, but they are all in relationships too so its not that bad.

Most of my girlfriends aren't single. Theres one though that is having a difficult time in her relationship and I find its hard to talk to her about things. Shes the only difficult one in the BP which is making things very stressful bc shes my MOH.

I do find it hard. I'm moving into the next phase of my life and I couldn't be happier. While all my girlfriends (except maybe 2) are still single, searching for a guy, making stupid mistakes (which we all did) but I'm like over that now. So I'm finding it harder to relate to them now, and it sucks.

I honestly don't have a ton of female friends. My best friend (MOH) and all of my BMs are all in serious relationships.

Not really! My single girlfriends are SO excited to be my BM's because I'm the first to get married, and we still all hang out a lot.
