i would say yes. i know he had a big thing planned and something really romantic, but it didnt work out like he planned because he is always a nervous wreck. The way I would have loved it would have been on a picnic. But ya know what its okay the way he did it was great!

haha same here! FH was so nervous, and i knew it was coming. I maybe wish he did it in a less unexpected way, but i love how he put all the thought into his plan.

I wouldn't change it. It wasn't the typical romantic rose petals, candles and champagne type of thing, but he did put a lot of thought into it and did something that was significant to our relationship. People now tell me how excited he was about what he was going to do for weeks before (bc he can't keep a secret) and that makes it feel even more special for me.

I wouldn't change a second of it. I loved every minute. It was fun, typical FH and wonderful and I'll always look back on it and remember how surprised I was.
God, I love him.

Yea I would. I was expecting something really creative, bc he is like that. But he asked me at 5am when I was half sleeping.

Re: QOTD 9-17
YES! lol he apparently asked his parents what they thought of us getting married....and they were very supportive. SO he CALLS me (i was in vegas for another friend's bachelorette party) and tells me over the phone that we are getting engaged lol.
THEN, when i got back, he tells me he has some things 'planned' for a proposal. but we were both so excited that he propsed to me on the futon. it was cute but still........
he was planning to take me on one of those mini cruises around manhattan where they show you the faux waterfalls they had erected (we are both engineers). UGH. that would have been so much cooler.
:) ah well, love him just the same.

Yea...same thing here... He literally woke me up, put the ring on my finger and then i fell back asleep..romantic huh?
I was expecting dinner or something....In all honesty i thought he was going to propose during halftime at one of the Red Bulls games that we had gone to last year (I reeally thought the david beckham game he would ask....I started to cry a bit after halftime when he didnt ask me...)

I don't think I would have had it any other way....
Well the little idea I came up with one night was this: I love going to the opera. I told FH that he should have waited for us to go to The Met one night. We would have dinner in their outrageously expensive but beautiful resturant before the show. Now anyone who has been to an opera knows that The Met has screens on the back of each chair with subtitles. I told him he should have seen if he could have gotten them to promot 'Jenn, will you marry me?' on the screens before the start of the show.
When I told him he got upset cause he was all 'WHY DIDN'T I THINK OF THAT?!?!'
But I'm kind of glad he didnn't. I would have started crying and miss the first act

Yeah. Would definitely change it. There was no ring, no pre-thought, just 'We should get married'. Took off from there. Now that I think of it, technically that's not even a proposal since there was no 'will you marry me'! He's getting a kick in the shins tonight.
