Good morning, ladies!I am very excited about my first day as BOTW! Once again, I really want to thank Jessica (guitarstikibars) for passing the torch on to me!
So! For my very first question, we're going to have to get physical.
What are all the things you are doing (big and small) to get yourself looking your absolute best for the Big Day?
This is mostly inspired by the fact that I have a session with my personal trainer in about an hour. He's great, but I can barely move after! That's the biggest thing I'm doing, going to the gym about 5-6 times a week, and an hour with a personal trainer every week. And trying to eat as healthy as I can!
But on the small side, I've decided that years of getting my eyebrows waxed at my nail salon after my pedicure have made them WAY too thin. So, I talked to a brow expert at my salon who has forbidden me from touching my eyebrows. Once a month, I'll have an appointment with her and she'll tend to them. It's going to drive me CRAZY! But hey, anything to look beautiful on the day, right??

Well... I had gastric bypass surgery so I have lost about 180lbs. I'd like to still lose 20 more and I'm currently seeing a plastic surgeon to get the extra skin removed. So I guess thats the biggest thing I'm doing. The smallest thing I'm doing is taking prenatal vitamins and biotin to get my hair to grow long and thick! I shaved my head in March of 2012 for St. Baldricks and I've been growing it ever since.

Well, that's definitely a big change!! That's amazing! Congratulations, both for the weight loss and for being brave enough to do St. Baldricks!

You're welcome, twinnie!I am also not touching my brows too often for the next year! Mine are two different shapes after years of plucking and waxing (plus just naturally being uneven), so I am only getting them done about once every six weeks.
I am definitely back on the gym grind, as much as I freaking hate it. I need to lose some weight so I feel my absolute best. I have this lofty goal of 30 lbs, but I would be happy with 15-20.

This is so me! A few months ago I was so annoyed at how my eyebrows came out from the nail salon (it doesn't help that I am disloyal and will go to any nail salon who can take me). I was so fed up and sick of filling in my brows with a pencil. So I stopped into a Euro Wax Center and bought a package. I bought this gel that you brush on your brows to make them grow, and they literally just waxed stray hairs and told me not to touch my shape. And after about 2 months my eyebrows are so much thicker and have a nice shape. I am so happy I did this! How funny that this is what girls have to deal with.
I am also watching what I eat especially since I have my boudoir shoot in May.

I am trying to watch what I eat. I have recently discovered that I HATE the gym, so I am working to find an exercise routine that doesnt make me want to run and hide.On the smaller side, as soon as we got engaged (July 2011) I started growing out my hair, but I am doing in the healthy way, with hair cuts every 4-6 months. Im not looking for crazy long hair, but I just want it to be full enough to make my style look its best.

Ugh, I hate the gym, too! I'm a certified couch potato! But I love to eat too much to not work out

I am trying to watch what I eat. I have recently discovered that I HATE the gym, so I am working to find an exercise routine that doesnt make me want to run and hide.
This was my biggest problem. I would try so hard to run before finally learning I am NOT a runner. Then, I found this amazing tredmill routine that involves walking inclines in intervals. So walking on a high incline for a minute, down to rest for a minute, back to incline, etc. Because it never goes faster than 4MPH, I could handle it. Just don't ask me to run!

I have been growing my hair out since April because of the hairstyle I am looking to have at the wedding and I am dying for a cut! Just to freshen it all up! Might go for a light dusting and then leave it alone till about a month before the wedding.... like it long, but feel like I'm getting dead ends! Also, want to figure out something to do with coloring my hair. I'd love to lighten it up a little, but don't want to get stuck doing highlights every 6 weeks. It's just too expensive.I also started a Nutritional Cleansing Program back in February and have already lost 31 pounds! Not only did it shed some unwanted pounds, but it has also given me the most insane amount of energy which has helped me to get myself to the gym and working out. Back in January, just the THOUGHT of getting on a treadmill made me exhausted, now I'm proud to say I run 5 miles at a time! Would love to add a personal trainer into the mix to shape my back and arms... hoping Santa will bring that to me this Xmas :)

I'm running Disney's Princess Enchanted 10K in February...if that's not big I don't know what is!On the small side, probably the occasional facial, massage, body scrub. Anything that will help to relax!

Ah, all of you ladies have been doing SO much... i feel like a slacker!
I really want to stick with eating well and hitting the gym for the next 9 months. I don't want to lose a ton of weight (15-20 lbs would be ideal) so it's so easy to push off since I 'still have time'. Such a bad mindset!
I also saw a new hairdresser a few weeks ago who made my hair look ORANGE. I normally get a partial head of highlights and lowlights, but it's sooo light right now. I learned my lesson and I'm going to continue to make the trek to see my original stylist on the upper east side so he can get it back to my normal color before the wedding.
I've also been getting laser hair removal treatments done - no more Brazilian waxes - woohoo!! Would love to do my legs too but it doesn't work on blonde hair, unfortunately.

Today is the day I started diet, and exercising almost every day. I need to lose the 30lb I gained since being with FH. I'm under the 6 month mark and need to tone up my flabby arms lol. Hoping to find a boot camp type of class that's not at 5:30 am or may try kick boxing. The treadmill bores me to death!!

YOU ARE MY HERO!!!! This is SO amazing. If there was ever a shot of me running a marathon, this would be it. I wanna hear all about it in February!

Ah, the dreaded 'boyfriend layer'. Or now, a 'fiancé layer'! I had the same problem, especially right after getting engaged because everyone wants to take you out to dinner or for drinks to celebrate your engagement. I feel like we had a three month period after getting engaged that we were celebrating, and mostly celebrating with food!
Then that wedding date slowly but surely approaches and you realize you gotta kick it into high gear!

That is awesome congrats on your weight loss. What is the name of the program. I need to lose 40lbs and have 1 yr to get it done. I tried all year this passed year and manage to lose 18 and gain back 8-10lbs so I am definitely struggling here.

I've been thinking about doing this! I'm also a monthly Brazilian waxer, and would love to never have to go again! How far into the laser treatments are you? Is it painful? Does it work?? I'm so curious!

I am watching what I eat and really am struggling trying to find a workout routine I can stick to. I have been growing out my hair I stopped dying it so about 2 years ago to grow it all out and have healthy natural hair. I get a trim every 8-12 weeks. I just bought my extensions for my wedding. I want to lose 40lbs before my wedding so I am looking in to personal trainers but not sure if I can swing it right now. I think once every 3 months I am going to do facials and will start going back to my dermatologist to have them done and have extractions if needed.Welcome New Vendors
