GOOD MORNiNG!

what is one thing that you had to compromise on your wedding wedding planning?
something you are having but dont really want?? -- something you are not having but really want??--something you had to go cheaper on than you wanted??

So far, I had to compromised on favors. i wanted class maple leaf bottles w/ maple syrup in them. However, they were pretty expensive. Since my wonderful mom is paying, she wasnt really up for that...so we are going to use some DIY favors!!

i guess the time of day..im getting married on a saturday in the summer, but during the day..

Something I don't really want: FH and his family really don't want seated dinner and so we are having a mansion style affair. I really want to assign seats to everyone in the ballroom and FH doesn't. So I would say this is something I really don't want to give in to but it looks like I am going to lose on this on.

Something I really want: Crazy flowers to decorate the whole mansion in.

Seomthing I had to go cheaper on: Probably will cut on favors and maybe invitations. Nothing really gone cheaper on anything yet luckily.

I originally wanted a hamptons wedding. FH didn't think it was a good idea...longgggg story.....oh well next best thing!!!

I really really wanted to get married and have the reception at Brooklyn Botancial Gardens, but it was just crazy expensive.

Also, didn't want to get married on a holiday, but it's pretty much the only way we can afford it.

Everything else has been great.

me too. i wanted sat night but went w/ saturday day since i really wanted a june wedding.

We sorta had to compromise on size. He originally wanted a 50-75 person wedding. My immediate family is about 50 people so we're going for inviting 175.

Other than that I really want a photo guest book, but since Polaroid cameras as we know them are now gone, and photo booths are too expensive I may have to let go of that idea..

The over all budget... I guess I always though the sky would be the limit. NOT SO MUCH!

i def wanted to get married outdoors at the rh...its beyond goregous...but not happening...has to be in the house of god...

i want to get reready in a suite at a hotel...still working on it...

my mexico/disney dreams were shot down

and the size..i really wanted a 75 person really small, really intimate wedding...unfort i have a really big family...so it will be bigger than i wanted...

other than those things...

everything is really going as i had hoped! i even was able to wiggle in the ceremony music and the DOC...which i am so excited about!

there is still a lot of planning to go...so we will see..but if everything goes as planned...i will be one happy camper!!

I really wanted a small wedding (extra small by most people standards lol) but that is gone! Also wanted to make up for the wedding with a small Eparty, also long gone. Other then that we have not done too much planning yet.

The only thing I wanted be didnt was Mr. met at the CH. FH didnt want to pay the $500+ for a 'cartoon character'

I guess the only thing we are compromising on is the date. I always pictured myself as a Fall bride... (BTW love the Maple Leaf syrup idea), but my brother wouldn't have been able to attend if we stuck with Autumn (he's in the navy and his schedule just works out that way). So I opted to Spring... I am very happy though. I wouldn't have been happy at all if my brother couldn't be there.

Otherwise, I am still 'planning' and don't think we're really compromising on much.
