well, i got to get up super early to go take a praxis test at 7:30am

so, im posting my question now!!

So, after you all get married, do you plan on staying put in the same area you are now or do you plan on moving to a completely different area?? why or why not?? where are you going to go??

as you all know, im from PA, and from a pretty small down.. FH & I plan on staying put. We both grew up in this area and we absolutely love it. We dont wanna move! Everyone that comes up here to go to school says how boring this area is and blah blah blah, and people make fun of me when I say im never leaving. but, we love it & we plan on growing old here

We live in Queens now...so we are probably going to stay here or look for somthing on the island

It doesn't really matter bc FH has a good job here, and we need that since I'm going to be getting my doctorate soon and will be in school for another 6 years and most likely, unable to work full time. So we don't have a choice.

Although, in reality, I would like to move to CT or PA. I'm just so sick of all the traffic around here. But then again, if I moved, I'd probably miss LI.

well i am in nassau and fh is in suffolk...we will be living in nassau (god willing)....I def plan on staying here...i couldnt imagine leaving my family...i do howver want to live in the city at one point or another for at least 1 year....(its on my life list)

FH and I just bought a house (we close in June), so we're staying put for a while!!! Plus, I'd miss my family and friends if we moved

we currently live in a ground level apartment in my mom's house. when we get married we are gonna take the rest of the ground level to extend our place.
hopefully down the road we can afford to buy the house from her and stay in this area, i love it here (North Massapequa)

As much as I would love to stay on long island I think we'll be living in CT after the wedding. My parents are moving to florida about a year after the wedding so I won't have too many more ties on LI and its not that far of a drive to come back. My fil's will never leave CT and when we have a family I'd like to be close to one set of grandparents.

I would love to move somewhere else... I work in NYC and we lived in PA for a little bit so as long as my commute doesn't go over 2.5hrs I'm okay with it, however he just got a good job right here on LI so unless something happens I think we're stuck in this area.

We were going to buy the house we are currently renting from my father, however, it is highly being reconsidered.

We will be in the same area for a while. After that, depending on FH's job, we may have to live in this area for at least the next few years until he is finished. Once he is done, or if he doesn't go ahead with it we are without a doubt moving out of NY completely. We both grew up in the same area but I would never want to raise a family here. I can't wait to move.

We live in Queens now, hopefully well be able to buy a house about a year or so after we get married and it will most likely will be in Western Suffolk, Id really like to stay in Queens or would love Nassau but cant afford it. I just feel a little bad cuz Fh works in Brooklyn/Queens and it will be a bit of a commute. If it were up to me, I wouldnt mind doing a big move to another state. Im not close with my family and my close friends, I would definately still come and visit. FHs job though really restricts him to transfer though

We would like to buy a condo eventually. I think it will depend on where I am teaching. FH works in the city so he needs to be close to the train.

we own a house in kings park right now but eventually i want to sell it. we would either move to a bigger house in a quieter neighborhood or we are gonna move off of long island and go upstate probably.
